Sorry, but I need a birthday source independent from that calculated from the age and death date on the stone. As stated in my profile, I don't calculate birthdates like that because of the high probability of error. Hope you understand.

Any information on Sydney Davey?
Anna Davey is my 2nd great grandmother and I have been doing research on the Davey family. I've been searching and searching for information on her brother, Sydney Davey and how/when/where he died. The only source I have found about Sydney is in the 1880 census. I would LOVE more information or sources on Sydney if you have anything. Thanks!

Whitney Family Genealogy

I was doing some "Whitney" entries and noticed that you have contributed some of the info. I just wondered how you are related to the Whitney's.

My dad was the son of Hubert Wood Whitney: Hubert's half brothers were Charles Percival and Frank Noriden Whitney: their children were my dad's cousins.

RE: Maria Comer McDowell
Yes, I love that website. Don't you wish all states were so helpful! I found a bunch more on Arthur Comer and his first wife. She was Mary Peebles. She has a memorial at Find A Grave, so I sent a request for her maiden name to be added and for the memorial to be link to Arthur's. I saw some online trees that, unfortunately, merged her and Maria(h) Alice McNary into one woman. Arthur and his first wife married in 1866, so that is indeed where that 34 years married comes from on the 1900 census. The 1900 census does show 7 kids for Maria Alice, which I think is correct. I was wondering if Maria Alice might have died in FL, but I don't see her on the FL Death Index. Daughter Kathryn Comer Pratt, with whom she was living in FL in 1940, remained in FL, so Maria Alice must have moved in with another child in OK before she died. You can e-mail me at Just checked and we are 4th cousins, once removed.

RE: Trying to send the Death certificate
Hi, Just to let you know, I am still working on this. Stay tuned.

Thanks for the certificate copy. The informant was an uncle of Evelyn. Not sure why, I have the family Bible, just got to dig it up.

Yes, you have my permission to use the photos. Please use this line:

2014 by LKat on Find A Grave. Used with permission.

If there are any others you want to use change the date to the year the photo taken and add away.

Thank you very much for being considerate in asking if you could use the photos.

We are trying to prove Revolutionary Service for Ezekiel and see that you say on your memorial that you have conclusive proof! Fantastic! Would you consider to share copies of your proofs with us? I am trying to help a lady who wants to join the DAR through this ancestor and we would greatly appreciate your help.

I should have mentioned that there is a more recent marker in this plot for Irene P Tate. I assume they are related in some way.

Thanks for the kind words! Every one of the memorials I created at Pine Hill had headstones. It was a huge project and I was just documenting who was buried there. We are blessed to have many volunteers in the area so I included the section and sometimes even the row to help them out when they are looking to fill requests. If you request photos I can almost guarantee that they will be claimed within the first week!

We have done several smaller cemeteries where we did add pictures after creating the memorials but that would have taken FOREVER in Pine Hill :)
Paisley sounds familiar... I think I've taken some pictures of Old Paisley burials in Alamance Presbyterian Church

Thank you for the information you sent for Augusta Rhudy #83909730. This memorial was transferred to me without my request. Out of respect, I will notify the lady who made the memorial and see what her source of information was. I will be in touch with an update.

I would be pleased if you would read my Bio and visit my parents' memorials by clicking on their links.

Re William and Elizabeth Caldwell
I live approximately 9 miles from the Bellevue Cemetery. I have spent many hours there. We have a lot of unmarked graves there as well. I checked the Bellevue Cemetery Records, they show the following:
William A Caldwell
Death February 3rd 1893
Burial February 5th 1893 in Bellevue Cemetery

Mrs Elizabeth Caldwell
Death December 27th 1896
Burial December 29th 1896 in Bellevue Cemetery

That is all the information I have, I hope this helps.
