Hi Bobby

I just read your BIO and want to take the time to tell you THANK YOU for all the hard work and your dedication.

It seems there are far too many nutts out there ... it is good to know you are one of the nice people.

Again Thank you

Bobbi

RE: Maude Cundiif and James Alexander Hunt
Bobby, at one time, you sent me pics of all the Hodges & Hunt folks you wanted me to enter & take control of when you were having troubles with F-A-G, so most likely you sent them to me. I haven't worked on Franklin County cemeteries since I started doing the City of Danville in 2012, except for a time or two when someone wanted me to look up their family. I hope all is well and you are getting along well, hope this kicks your memory into gear also, take care, Larry

Eastern Cemetery
I am so grateful to you for all the work you have put into Eastern Cemetery in Louisville. I was there in late April and it looked pretty good. There was some mowing that needed to be done in certain areas but, overall, it didn't look bad. I'm especially grateful to your for your photographs of all the markers. Because of you I found the grave of my 2nd great-grandparents.
You will understand how excited I was to find their marker. Thank you very much. I'm so sorry that you had to give up the good work you were doing because of difficult people. How sad!

Yeah I don't like to go that route...too many tattle tails and then you gotta prove to them its kosher to use your photo.

A couple of them are groups that you added before ...just missed one of them...such as Elmer Vishion/Carl Phillips...don't need to re-take them...just click on the Vishion picture...copy an save and then add it to Phillips.

John & Margie Heckler in Eastern
Being over 1,000 miles away, I absolutely thank you so very much for the photo of their marker PLUS the location of my Great Uncle and Aunt in Eastern. It's appalling that cemeteries are being neglected and ignored - another reason I will be cremated and sprinkled! Ya can't fight them all, but the few extra daring steps that we take really DOES make a difference to so many people, and I take my hat off to you, Sir, for doing so very much. My dad was in Navy 21 years, and I hold the greatest respect for those that go on to better our country like yourself! I am another one that pays it forward, especially since FindaGrave folks and Ancestry folks found my Dad and Granddad for me, and I've been blessed to meet them in person. One was discarded and lay in the morgue for 4-1/2 mos. unclaimed by those that dumped him and the other laid in the ground unmarked for 45 years by in-laws, all knowing how to contact me. I've set it all right NOW, with one more yet to be found and etched in stone, before I go to meet My Maker in peace, as I'm the last caboose comin' round.

Thanks for your hard work. This woman's maiden name is HOCHSTRASSER by the way. My mother said they never could find the grave, so I didn't go looking. Glad to be able to add the photo to my 'Cemetery Book' for our family. Mother said they buried all those 1000s of people on top of the ones who were already buried there, a great fiasco! All the rest of mother's family is buried at Cave Hill, but these Muellers were scattered around. We're in CT now. I've done cemetery transcription for many so I know what work it is. Schardein Cem on 7th St Road would be another one to preserve records for. It's not in very good shape either, but much, much smaller.
Peace, Alan

D. Miller
MACR #3763 B-24 Liberator 8 April 1944
Bobby: Thank you for posting the information from MACR 3763 about this air crash on 8 April 1944. The family of Arthur L. Miller was never told that remains were brought back to the USA and buried in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery on 27 April 1950. We never knew that Arthur was awarded a Purple Heart. I could understand if they were never told all the details of the crash (some parts classified) but to never tell the family that he was buried in Louisville in 1950 is inexcusable. His parents would have been so happy to know they could visit a grave in Louisville. They were originally from Cincinnati, Ohio which is about 100 miles from Louisville. Arthur only has a few first cousins remaining now in 2015. His older brother, Ralph, was also a pilot and completed 60 missions over the Pacific. He returned home to become an instructor at the Charleston, SC Army air base. Ralph was killed on December 5, 1944 (four months after returning home from the Pacific) when the pursuit plane crashed into Ralph's plane killing all 12 crew members plus the pursuit pilot. Arthur and Ralph were the only children of Arthur W. and Pearl Miller of Birmingham, AL.

Old friend
Hey old friend, just saw your name so I thought I would drop you a line to say hello, I was reading your profile, and what you say about lots of folks on f-a-g are true, rude(nasty is a better word), they want to own everything, some collect transfers like baseball cards, if you don't transfer, they have temper tandems, a lot of them are just a royal pain in the behind. All I have worked on for the last 3 yrs are Danville City cemeteries, ok, take care, Happy Memorial Day, which I know is dear to you, Larry

Vinton & Helen Lawrence Eastern Cemetery
Vinton Lawrence (Memorial # 121422248) and Helen Gano Lawrence (Memorial # 121422254) are my great-great-grandparents. I admire the work you put into gathering the information for those buried in Eastern Cemetery. Could you please correct the spelling of Helen's maiden name? It is Gano. She and Vinton married Nov. 6, 1867. They are in the 1880 census (Louisville, KY). Thank you!
