Are you related to Paul Dresser? If so, in what way? I am doing some family research and came across your name.

Gail, I must object to you leaving research notes on my great granduncle's memorial. What we go through in our efforts to locate our deceased relatives whereabouts is not the purpose of flower notes. Kindly remove your research notes and just leave a kind note of peace or love if you wish.

This cemetery is very old and over the years has lacked sufficient maintenance. Some graves have been vandalized and some were of soft stones (soap stone, etc) that a good many of those who died in the 1800s are no longer legible. It's sad really since I also have some relatives there but can't locate their graves.

I also took pictures of Cyrus Newton Shearer(1898-1918) and Katherine Shearer(1870-1952). If you want them just let me know.

You're welcome. As you may notice, Dorothy Schaufler's marker actually says Dorothy Nelson Wieter -- but it's in the right place, with the right dates, so I'm assuming it's the right one. Sorry for not cleaning it better, but it wasn't until I got home that I decided it really was the right marker.

There is a mix up between J.F. and his son John
Fielding, but when you transfer them, I will correct.
Thanks for your help and the offer to transfer!

Thanks for writing; glad you arrived back home, safe & sound. Good newe about Tipton Co. cemeteries; I had a lot of ancestors living there, especially McWhirts, & those who married. I have a big favor to ask; for several years, I have been looking for info on my great aunt, to no avail. Her name was Mary E. McWhirt, born 1854, in Ill. She was the sister of Jamess John, also born in Ill. Mary married a John Goodnight, but therre are so many John Goodnights, I don't know which one. She wasn't married too long, before she divorced. The last info I have on her, she was in the 1880 census back living with her brother, John, & his wife Amanda. I have no clue where she is buried; so if you should disciover her cem., please let me know. I have several buried in Kempton cem., but I know I probably have more in other Tipton co, as there were a lot of McWhirts athere at one time. I am looking forward to your Salem photos. I obtained a list of Salem interments, and created pages for those who weren't listed. Keep in touch, June

I could not find an "M. Willoughby" in St. Elizabeth's in Denton. The stones there were not in the best of shape so it might be there and I just didn't see it or couldn't read it. SO sorry!

Hey Gail, Someone sent the info on Rebecca being married to a Martin ... Not sure it was correct. Therefore I'd "strongly" assume that your info, and both being in the same cemetery, is correct concerning her being the wife of Stephen and I've linked them... :-)

A photo of his headstone is now on his record and the year of his death is 1904 ... Not 1901. Thought you'd like to see it:

When I photographed Greenlawn cemetery a couple of years ago, I did not find a tombstone for him. I may have missed it, but I have all the other family members around him on this lot.
