RE: Frederick Smith
Yes I did. My afternoon changed and I'm loading in a few minutes. I also need to make memorials for their sons Charlie and George. I took all four sides. I also found their daughters memorial and sent in an edit to link her. #100899741

Hello ~ Maybe I already wrote you about Adolph and Lucy. If I did, I apologize! (I'll get all these corrections done one of these days)

Both Social Security Death Index and California Death Index show Lucy died on April 2 rather than April 3 and SSDI shows she died in Diamond Springs. You don't agree? Thanks for your help. ~ Jo C

Hello ~ The obit for Adolph Haack states he died in Modesto. You don't agree with this? ~ Jo C

Re: Eduard L Greening edit
Your edit request for Eduard was to link Wilhelmine Greening as his "mother". She is his "wife", NOT his mother. For future reference: on your edits tab, click on the "display" dropdown list, choose "Edits I have sent that were declined". Next to Eduard's name is a bubble "i". Hover cursor over that and it will tell you why it was declined.

Mary Smith stone is here:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=smith&GSiman=1&GScid=2241073&GRid=107911418&

The stone states she is the wife of Samuel Smith born 1814 and died 1887. Not sure if this is the Samuel Smith's wife you seek. I searched all around this stone and did not find Samuel.

Smith Genealogy
Smith Family Genealogy
Julie:

I just received on loan a Smith Family Genealogy.
It is called Descendants of Abel Smith of Hempstead, Long Island by Anne E. Smith 1903. Also an Index of persons and lineage of each added by Wm Hazlitt Smith, 1941. There is a supplement for a Samuel Smith, born 1786 and his descendants. Compiled by Anne E. Smith, 1940 and finally an index of persons of each added by Hazlitt Smith, 1941.

Reading thru this quickly I find mention of several Smiths from this area as well.

If any of this sounds familiar to you and you have any questions about this report, I will gladly look thru it and forward any info you may need. Sorry I can not send the whole document. It is quite large with many pages.

Willa Smith
I contacted the care takers of the Sanford Cemetery about Willa and they returned an email stating that they believed Willa was Arthur's first wife and that they had divorced. There is no known stone for her in Sanford Cemetery. Awaiting news from cemetery association as to weather she may be buried there and have no stone.

I believe I knew Arthur's daughter Virginia. She was first married to Stewart Ford and lived in Andes, NY. Stewart's brother Gerald was a classmate of mine at ACS.

Smith's in Sanford Cemetery
Hi ZiegeFrau:

Have added all but one of your requests to the Sanford Cemetery in New Kingston, NY. Have had no luck locating any stone for Willa. I will contact the caretaker when I get a chance and let you know if a stone exists. I would probably say there is none at this point. There is a large area around her husband's stone that has nothing.

Thanks! I got it uploaded.

I normally try to get these done right away, but we are in the middle of a major remodeling project, so my loyalties are divided. :-(

Minnie Smith photo request
I snapped a photo of Minnie's gravestone yesterday while I was fulfilling a request for her husband. If you don't want to make a special trip to the cemetery, I can upload that one. I actually photographed 50 - 60 other graves while I was there, and I have not had time to process them & upload them -- I had intended to do Minnie's when I did the rest of them.

Haack Family
I don't know of a connection - but, I also don't have much information on Louis E. Haack other than his father's name was Julius and he was born in Brandenburg, Germany. Louis' obituary does not mention any siblings, although, I suspect that he probably had some. Brandenburg is a distance from Denmark so I kind of doubt a connection.
