Brittains in Shiloh
http://www.ingenweb.org/indubois/shiloh%20cemetery/shiloh%20alpha%20a-e%20w%20photos.html

This site has all the Brittain photos on it. I'm unable to copy them as they're copyrighted, but if you want to see them, that's where they're at.

The entire cemetery has been photographed and logged on this site.

Robert C. Peurifoy
RE: Butler United Methodis Church Cemetery
Sharon, I hope to revisit Butler Church sometime in the near future, maybe even in the next few weeks. However, I live about 300 miles away in the northern mountains of North Carolina. But our daughter has moved to South Carolina and we are planning a trip in September.
I had hoped to get all the photos when I was there but my battery ran down and it was starting to rain.
There are probably some volunteers around, but I usually try to check out their work. No everyone who volunteers knows how to take pictures.
How are you related. I've done quite a bit of research on the Peurifoy and Butler families.

RE: Nancy Butler Brooks
HI,
The information states family members had them relocated. This is all that I know about the family.Mrs. Abney provided most of the aforementioned informationon and allowed visits to the cemetery.

RE: Nancy Butler Brooks
Hi,
Nancy Butler Brooks consort of Elisha Brooks, A Lieutenant in the Revolution,daughter of Captain James Butler and a sister of Gen. William Butler;
born in 1764 and died 1854-Wife-Mother.

Let me know if you need additional information.
This marker is very brittle due to age and moving
of stone. Many cracks and surface imperfections. Her body was moved between the 1970's survey and the 1994 transcribing. Have a blessed week!

RE: Fairview Cemetery
Apologies, I do not live nearby Shelby County where Fairview is located. I input the data from a list a friend shared with me. There should be Find A Grave photo volunteers in that county that will be honored to supply the pictures, just might have to make requests for a few to get in touch with them.

Good luck, and thanks for your kind words.

Sharron, I have fulfilled a few of your requests. I also add folks with same last names buried nearby, so look around in the Oakdale memorials. (It may be tomorrow before I get everyone added.) Steve

RE: Photo-Amy Schmidt
Yes it is in the Hondo Cemetery...you had made a photo request for Mary Schmidt. I got to looking and realized it had the wrong first name: MARY should have said AMY. So I changed it and then the were 2 memorials for Amy. Since I was the one that created the second one, I deleted it, along with the picture you had posted. Debbie

RE: Photo-Amy Schmidt
Yes ma'am. The memorial where you placed the picture is no longer there. There is a different one for Amy Allcorn Schmidt and I thought you might like to post the photo on it. Debbie

Photo-Amy Schmidt
You added a photo of Amy Schmidt to memorial #61061915. I am deleting this memorial as I have found it to be a duplicate. Would you please add your photo to memorial #10767940? This memorial had been mistakenly listed as Mary Schmidt when it should have been Amy Allcorn Schmidt. Thanks----Debbie

Roy Shipley
Cinthia Bowden
also John Bowden and Effa Harris

Time ran out, plus I need way to make older headstones more readable. I have family in this cemetery, but it is long one way drive. Next trip I will try again.

I did take picture of several Bowden & Harris headstones, newer vintage. If you have interest in information on them or the pictures, let me know. Direct email is fine.

Sharron,
On the 1930 census I found Alonzo Tarpley living with a wife named Edith J (maiden name unknown). The Louisiana marriage index on Ancestry only goes to 1925. Sorry I couldn't help you more. Here's Alonzo on my tree at Ancestry http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/15840637/person/319795891
