Thank you so much for the information on Louise Kuder. Do you have any other information on her family that you could share with me?? Do you know the ship she came on or the port it came into? I would love anything you can share with me. This is my husbands family and we have been stuck in this place for a long time. Thanks, Debbie Eaton

Baudouine people at Green-Wood
This is to let you know that I added the rest of the Baudouine people buried at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn. Do you live close to that cemetery, because we need more tombstone pictures.
Bob Collins is a photographer, who is in that area. I am sure he will take the pictures if you aren't able to take them.
One man was entered incorrectly into that cemetery, but not by you. Are you aware of that?

Kahny/Hoefer/Mathis/Krug
Magdelina Hoefer Kahny is my 2nd G-grandaunt, her sister is Christina Henrietta Hoefer Mathis Krug (my 2nd G-grandmother). Henrietta and Adam Krug's daughter is CECELIA CARRIE CORNELIA KRUG HARRIS, she is buried in Valhalla Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio. I feel we are related and would like to discuss genealogy with you and ask if you could possibly get pictures of Carrie's tombstone and those of her husband Wm Rbt Harris better known as Rice Harris in Vahalla. thank you. Reminder for Louis King
Can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker?

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

This cemetery will not assist photo volunteers with finding the grave's location and the Find A Grave FAQs (Help File) states it is the photo requestors job to provide this information.

Thank you! Ace

RE: Kaehny gravestone pix
You are welcome. I left in such a hurry to go to the cemetery I forgot my camera so the photos were taken with my cell phone and they are not so good so I am glad you could read them. The plot number is I-58C. They are not too far off the road so not too difficult to find. The office will give you a map.

RE: Kaehni graves at Valhalla
I just added Mary Kaehny and went to add the photo to Urban but he is not listed. You must have removed him. I'm unable to read the years on his headstone bo if you add him to the list, I will add the photo of the headstone. I spelled Mary's name with the "y".

RE: Kaehni graves at Valhalla
The man told me they didn't have a listing for Kaehni or Kahni but today, after going to the cemetery yesterday, I noticed there was a grave number next to Urban. So I just went back and found Urban and a Mary next to him but no Martina. The last name is spelled Kaehny, not i. I will put it up right now. The third time was the charm!

You're welcome and good luck. One man there has been very helpful looking up many names for me so hopefully you will find him in when you go.

RE: Photos for Minna and Urban Kaehni
The first time I went I was looking for her as Pies and was told there was no listing for that name. When I went the next time I got a different man who wasn't really eager to search the records for me but did. I asked him to check both spellings of the last name. This man asked if I was a relative as they were thinking about starting to charge for the searches as he was a volunteer and didn't get paid. He looked up 6 or 7 other names which he did find. He said that if they were cremated there wouldn't be a record but I would think they should still have a record of urn placements. I would suggest you call the cemetery yourself and ask for a search. If you can get a plot number from them I would be willing to back and look for it. Valhalla is a huge cemetery so it would be impossible to look without a plot number. It was difficult enough finding some we had plots for.
