I just noticed on the note the cemetery gave me, the cremains were returned to F. H. James. Just in case that is useful to you. There is a James Family lot there in Section E & F, Lot 109. Bob

RE: Jacob Jones
I have found a Jacob Jones that was a Rev. War patriot but it doesn't seem to be a match to our Jacob Jones. Do you have any further documentation??

RE: RE Jacob Jones
How are you related to Jacob Jones? Do you know his parents' names? I think he and his wife are my 5th great grandparents thru their daughter Susanna Jones
My 4th great grandmother
Birth 24 May 1774 in Maryland
Death 11 Nov 1849 in Sinclair, Morgan, Illinois, United States
Who married Robert (Col.) Robertson.
My 4th great grandfather.
Birth 18 Aug 1772 in King George, Maryland, N American Colony, England or Frederick, Frederick, Maryland
Death 23 March 1840 in Sinclair, Morgan, Illinois, USA. They had a daughter, Elizabeth Robertson, My 3rd great grandmother,
Birth 15 Oct 1795 in Bourbon, Kentucky, United States
Death 9 Nov 1865 in Cass, Illinois, USA alt. Morgan County. Elizabeth married James Jr. Garner III,
My 3rd great grandfather. Birth 7 Oct 1792 in Rockingham, North Carolina, United States.
Death 11 Sep 1862 in Philadelphia, Cass, Illinois, United States. If all of that is a match, then the rest is all verified and Jacob Jones would be another patriot for me for the Daughters of the American Revolution!!

Hi There Headstone Huggers,

Saw you stopped by Knights Chapel Church cemetery in DeSoto county, Ms. some time ago and added marker photos of some of the postings I had done. Because I am rather clumsey when it comes to doing that, I gave up some time ago.
I do want to THANK you for adding the ones that you did. Thank you, thank you.

Captain Thomas S. Cowan
Headstone Huggers,
Thank you for your additional comments.
I will be placing a Patriotic plaque upon his grave site on August 10, 2013, at 11:00 AM. Captain Thomas S. Cowan is my 4th Great Grandfather. Via his background, I became a member of the SAR due to his involvement in the Revolutionary War and for our freedom . . . therefore the reason for the Patriotic plaque.
Each of you are more than welcome to attend the Grave Marking. I placed a picture of the additional grave marking by using shaving cream to pop the inscription upon his headstone.

Let me know if there's any additional biography or family links you'd like added. (I handle computer side of things, & photo volunteers handle the pictures).
Best wishes in your family hunting.

Mays Perry Photo Request - Grove Hill Memorial (Dallas)
I would love to help you get a photo, but this is a VERY large cemetery! :) If you can contact the office to get a location, I will try to track down the grave and get you some photos.

Bess Rudin Photo request
Hi, the volunteers are happy to fill your photo request, however we need a burial location in order to do so. The cemetery is very huge and is not very cooperative with the volunteers from findagrave.
Can you call them and get the burial location? The number is 972 238 7111. Once you get the burial location you can message me and I can make sure it gets added and that the photo request is filled ASAP.
thanks!

Richard (Rick) Buchanan Gravestone
The headstone will likely change in the coming months. Due to space considerations, his mother, Mary Frances Buchanan, was buried beside him. I was photographing the graves of his grandparents and uncle Albert this afternoon when the grave was being covered and saw that Mary was buried where Doreen (Rick's widow) had her stone.
Just thought I would let you know in case you saw this when you next visit the cemetery.

Bess Rudin
Hi,
I would be happy to get photos of the John and Bess Rudin for you, but first I need you to call the Restland Cemetery office at 972-238-7111 and get a grave location for me. This cemetery is quite large, and without a location, a specific grave would be impossible to find. Let me know when you get the location, and I will go out and take the photos.
Thanks,
Jennifer

I placed 2 pictures for his grave. One that's untouched, the other one I included the lot information along with all the other graves/memorial numbers. Let me know if this is okay.

Take Care,
Brandi

Hello: I finally got on the land that Caldwell Cem is on. He is a great old man and he helped me find it. I have one picture of a Mary born in 1797 and Died Nov 3, ?? I don't know enough about it to make a memorial, so if you will send me your E- Mail I'll send it to you and maybe you can figure out what to do with it. It also has Josha's name on it but it looks as if a parent or something.jshepherd2572@charter.net JES
