|John Fogleman||Charles H. Edmunds|
I wonder about the date of death. The will of Charles Penn Edmunds was written in 1883 and in the will he made a bequest to Charles H. Edmunds.

I agree with you..... I saw this on FB also.... and agree, that they come from all over and should have been destroyed. Just hoping there is a marker for this person in the cemetery where he is buried. Hopefully someone close to there can find it - I would just leave it for now, if you'd like.
Thank you for your military service!!!

I believe the stones Were stolen. Check memorials for some of the other stones that appear in Ed's pictures: #25210303, 84866824, 50219102.
All of these stones are identical and they are clearly in a cemetery. My father was also a veteran of WWII and if his stone appeared in someone's stairway or other home decoration, I would go to their house and remove it and I wouldn't be very friendly about it either. I found the photos of the stairs to be a disgrace. I don't want you to be harassed by your decision to post these photos since this is a very controversial situation. Of course it is your privilege, however, I personally wouldn't have chosen to do that. I only post pictures that I have taken.

I was wondering about those 2 veterans photos, are you aware that these stones were removed from the cemeteries and used to make a patio by some crackpot in Ozark County Missouri? I noticed that you added these photos to Find A Grave.

While I appreciate you adding this picture - I know it was NOT TAKEN at the cemetery where he is buried. I have put in another request for someone to take a photo of his site and stone as it is today in the cemetery. There is some info out there that the picture you loaded here is of a discarded stone. Just trying to confirm that.

You are more than welcome and I thank you for your offer. I don't know of any relatives in Memphis, but you never know who is going to turn up next.

You're welcome to use it. The other person listed on his headstone is (I believe) his wife. It definitely looks like Adam, but it's Ada M :) Hopefully that solves the mystery!

I thought that might be the case. Yes, I have both of the pictures of John Wesley and his wife. I should tell you, we believe that the picture of Ferril is probably NOT her. It is probably his 2nd wife. We have a picture of his 2nd wife when she was younger, and the facial characteristics are the same. I would suggest removing that picture of her. I am still hunting more information. I have spent several years just on this side of the family and I believe the information is correct. No paper trail other than his marriages of course. The original pictures only say MRS BRADSHAW on the back and we know there are 2. Thanks Randy Bradshaw

Are you the owner of the picture that you posted for John Wesley Bradshaw? If so, I wonder if you have any others that you could share with me. John Wesley is my GG Uncle and I am always on the hunt for items that are my direct family history. Thanks Randy

Permission granted per the list you provided. Please list the credit for each back to Cathy & Tom, Find A Grave # 47115507. Please contact me again if you find any others.
Thank you for your offer regarding the Memphis area. My 5th great grandmother was buried there, probably in the Winchester Cemetery, which was destroyed in the name of civic progress. This is one of the reasons that we do what we do. Preservation.

Your more than welcome. It was actually my grandmother who was friends with Nell. My grandmother was a retired school teacher and I just remember her speaking highly of Nell and how good of friends they were. It truly is a small world.

You are very welcome. I was doing several photos in that cemetery today so it was no problem at all. Once I realized who Mr. Palmer was I went ahead and added a photo for Nell as well. Nell and my Grandmother were very good friends. Yes feel free to use any of my photos as you need. Glad I could help.

I found this on Joyce Tice's site
Chemung County Poor Farm Cemetery
By Sharon Denson
Location: From Breesport, N.Y. and State Route 223, turn right onto Church St. and follow the road to the Chemung Co. Poor Farm. Continue past to the next road on right. Breesport-North Chemung Rd. On the corner sits a marker Chemung County Poor Farm Cemetery. Behind is a large hill mound and the burials circle around the hill. It is quite overgrown. The stones only contain a number and the initials of the person buried there. This is no internment list. The Bureau of Vital Statistics stated that a list existed but was lost in the June 1972 flood. The new Chemung County Nursing Facility and Vital Statistics Office opened just prior to June 1972. Some residents who died at the Poor Farm were buried by family in other cemeteries.

Sorry I can't be of any more help.
