Joel Blanton
Blanton Cemetary
I am very interested in the info you entered on the "Blanton Cemetery", Willits/Ochre Hill-Jackson County NC. It states there were ten people buried in this now-abandoned cemetery, and five names are listed. I think I have some or all of the other five. Am wondering though how you know it was 10 total. Could there be more? Would first like to see if you know anything else regarding this cemetery, or even have any educated guesses about anything. As for me, I would prefer just to get your email and send what I have straight to you. Joel B.

RE: Coward family
Hi there,
Thank you for your note. Yes, I agree, always nice to meet new family members. I come down from Jonathan Coward and Martha Hutson / Hudson. What line are you from?

I don't think Nancy did it either. I have personally talked to her granddaughter, the closest relative still living and she says that Nancy told anyone who asked, that she did not do it. That is enough for me. As to who did it, I think we all have our ideas. Thanks for the invitation, you are sweet. The same goes for Landrum, where I live in SC.

article on Nancy "Dude" Kerley
Just wanted to let you know that the article on Nancy that Clifford Davids wrote has finally been removed from the internet, because after many family members wrote of its "untruth" he removed it. The article was fake and was not true in anyway, ONLY for him to make money! Liz

You are most welcome cousin Davis. It was a pleasure talking to you. I feel we made a connection right a way. It will be interesting to go over our lines together to find out closely we are related. Call me anytime you'd like. Have your paper work at the ready and we'll try to work it out. I will also be glad to help you with Find-A-Grave as far as linking ect. Happy hunting.

I have transferred the memorial for Helen Rhinehart, but you will need to contact the individual who created James Rhinehart's memorial to have it transferred to you. Regards, Patricia Horne

Thank You
Dear Ms. Davis,

Thank you so much for your kind remarks about the memorials I've made for my family. I did, indeed, have a wonderful life with them, and they were all pretty remarkable folks. I am ever thankful to God that He gave me the family He did. I love and miss them so very much... but live in hope, through the Promise of He who died to give us all Life, that I will see them again one day in a world where there are no more tears or sad partings. Thanks again for your kind words.

Best Regards,

John (John Field Pankow)
Asheville, NC

I won't be able to take any pictures for a week or more since we will be at a family get together in AR.
Are there specific pictures you want or just of the actual decorations overall?

RE: Medfords
thanks for your help. once, many years ago I took an iron rod with me to poke in the ground. I was successful in unearthing the marker for my gg aunt. But then I knew approximately where she was buried.

RE: Medfords
the Medford history was covered in the Annals of Haywood County - W C Allen - 1935. If you don't have it I think it is available from the Buncombe County Gen. Society for about $65. great book, lots of ancestors for you in it.

Seems the original name was Meadaford.

happy hunting.

Talitha Coward

I'm sorry I couldn't get to your message sooner. No, Talitha Coward is not buried next to my great-grandparents. They are buried in Balsam Baptist Cemetery. Sorry about that.

thanks for the photo.
was there a marker there for his wife, Texie?

Find A Grave limits to 20 requests per week, so most people request both husband and wife markers at same time.

thanks for any help that you can give.

Guess you noticed I didn't have birth dates for the Browns. Maybe you have them already. Hope so.
By the way I am related to Parkers. My Great Grandmother was a Parker but I have no information on her except what I learned as a kid. It would have been on my Grandmothers (my Dad) side of the family. Good luck....Poppy....
