RE: Olive Qualman
I returned to Forest Lawn today. I stopped and asked a worker if they had keys to the family mausoleums. He told me, no. The family has the key. So unfortunately I'm not able to photograph the inside of the Qualman mausoleum. As I mentioned, there are bars and mesh on the windows. I did attempt to snap a photo but the lens focus's on the mesh. I could read Bertha Qualmans name inside.I think she is listed as being at Oakwood Mauseleum.

RE: Isham
No problem. I'm going to try and figure out who is taking care of the cemetery. The county should be able to tell me as it is an active cemetery. There was a recent burial there so I assume someone is responsible for it.

Newmansville Cemetery Photo Requests
I spent the afternoon today out at the Newmansville Cemetery. Sorry I wasn't able to fulfill all of your requests. There are many markers that have been damaged and worn beyond recognition and some that are partially buried which leads me to believe there are many buried there. I spoke with the lady that runs the bait shop there, the only business and one of only a handful of residents there. Once upon a time that was a thriving community, but as many of our rural towns have done, there isn't much of it left anymore. I wish I could have been of more help to you as I know how important it is to some of us researching our roots. Darrel

RE: Qualman
You are welcome. And did you notice, Fred and Lizzie spell their lady name with two "N"s

I asked in the office when I couldn't find Bertha or Charlotte. They checked records and said they were not there. Could they be under a different last name?

I have not been back to Forest Lawn to ask if they have keys to the private Qualman family crypt building. I guessing only family have keys. Update to follow.

Chris Kanaan
Augustine and Bolen
Hi Button,
I remember these two graves were side my side, both only had wooden crosses with metal plates- which leads me to believe they were restored by the custodians. This cemetery has been prone to some floods, so told to me by a local resident who I met who also does some genealogy stuff.

RE: Olive Qualman
I think the family only has the keys to the inside of the mausoleum. I can ask maintence the next time I am there. The windows have both glass and wire mesh covering them. I did try to get a pic of the inside but difficult through the bars.

RE: Qualman
I will get back with you in a few days about my Walter and Olive Qualman connection, if any. I have a great Aunt who was married to a William Qualman. Caroline Reinke Qualman, Find A Grave 66889479, my entry (transferred to me). I was born and raised in Saginaw, now living in Arizona. Michigan roots, and some family members still in Michigan.
Thanks for your inquiry,
Fred S.

Bob Wilson
10 Photo Requests at St. Paul
Thank you very much for claiming these photo requests! Most of the information has been entered based upon the published transcription of the church records (Munnick); all should be late enough to be in the new St. Paul Cemetery rather than the Old St. Paul Cemetery. I suspect that at least some of them may be unmarked, but I hope that at least part of them will have gravestones, so that your trip will not be fruitless.

Thank you again, and have a wonderful Holiday Season!
