P.S. I left a message for the person who put that picture on this memorial and asked him to remove it. I tried but cannot remove it.

Samuel Sherwood
Hi Randi,

I do show a David Mount Sherwood 1852-1935 in my records in IN, son of Samuel Sherwood 1818-1885 and Maria/Mariah Stone 1824-1881.

I show Samuel's parents as Thomas Sherwood 1787-1857 and Charlotte Herr 1794-1864 Metamora, IN.

Sherwood is not my direct line. My g g grand parents were John Mathews and Phoebe Pond buried in Metamora, IN.

Their son Samuel Mathews 1821-1885 married a Sherwood 1821-1848 (Marian Anna or Minerva Miriam Sherwood) and had John, Charline and Eliza Jane). Her parents were Thomas Sherwood and Charlotte Herr. After she died, Samuel Mathews married Catharine Amack.

I am related to the Herr family way back in Colonial times, however, so I suppose I can say I am related to the Sherwoods too.

I am not sure why that photo with the wrong dates is with the wrong Find a Grave memorial. I did not put it there. If you would like management of these Sherwood memorials, just let me know. Otherwise I can try and figure it out (with your help).

May Stant
I transferred Mary Stant to you. I have a large number of Stant memorials from Metamora Cemetery. I am not related. Would you like them also? Let me know if you would like them or any others. Take care. Sherry Perry

Hi, Randi. It has been a busy summer! I've added Lucy's parental links as requested. Would you like Lucy and Alonzo's memorials transferred to you?

Margaret Smith May
I'm sorry to say I don't have any information about Margaret Smith's family. I hope you find the info you need. If I find out anything I'll certainly let you know. I do have a guestimate of when she married Robert P. May - about 1879.

Good luck!

George & Mary Smith
Randi, I am going to leave the link between George & Mary Smith. They share the same tombstone and even though he is much older, it is possible that she was his wife. Maybe she was a second wife. The stone states that she was the wife of George.

Milo Kirkwood
I went to Maple Hill Cemetery and tried to look for Milo Kirkwoods grave, but couldnt locate it. However I did locate Tina Kirkwood (1870-1916) and Joel Kirkwood (1862-1924). I have these pics and if want them posted let me know. There was an open area by these graves where a grave could have been but there was no evidence of a marker being put in the area. Take care Steve.

No, I had someone helping me that day and they did not transcribe date. The weed in front of stone would not stay away from stone.

Randi: Thank you for the photo of Linc's grave. I really appreciate it. Just wondering, did you happen to get a close-up of his picture. If not, no big deal. Thanks again for your help.
