Photo of Gilbert and Belle
Says taken c. 1910? If so, Belle would be 40 or 41 years old and Gilbert about 33. They do not look that old. I bet the photo was taken in 1910 at the time of their marriage. Gilbert would be about 23 or 24 and Belle about 31.

RE: Sponsorship of Joyce Pellman's Memorial
It was my pleasure, she sounded like a wonderful woman and reminded me of my mother who was also named Joyce.

Thanks for sharing...
Mr. Pellman, you unknowingly provided quite a chuckle for me today. I was admiring the picture of Moses Jenner, looking very dapper in his bowler hat and decided I really needed to thank you for the good work on Wises and Jenners. When I went to your page I burst out laughing to find your picture in a bowler hat too. Both you and Moses look quite the image of the well dressed man! Thx, JP in AZ.

I don't have any further info, but rootsweb is usually a pretty good (and free) place

RE: Addeline Acker Photo
It was a long trip for me, too, but I was there doing my own genealogy research :) I noticed that Addaline and Charles are posted in the same cemetery with the last name Taylor. Since they're posted under both names, I think the layout where their plots are is a bit confusing. A friend who was with me took the pictures. It's difficult for me to tell from the order on the camera and the design of the markers which are Acker and which are Taylor. Just thought you'd like to know about the issue.

I grew up in the Muncie area. So I know your area. I have a friend in Matthews. I now live near Bloomington, so closer than you. Glad I will be able to further when I get down there.

You are most welcome Leonard!
This cemetery is somewhat far from home. But I will keep this letter as a note. And the next time I go south I will get a good shot of the bottom of the headstone. Maybe, a month or so?
I fully understand your excitement. I too have benefited from the kindness of others on the web site, as all of my ancestors lived 350 miles away from where I live!
I like your Hat!
Until later,

I made the changes but would you like the memorial transferred to you? I am not a relative - just thought the name was interesting so I made a memorial. Let me know and I will transfer him to you if you want.

Mary E. Warner
Phelps in upstate NY
Len, I just finished reading (on-line) a 500 pg. book entitled "Gazetteer & Biographical Record of Genesse Co., NY 1788-1890" by F.W. Beers. There were Phelps mentioned living in several of the villages. This kind of reading is the meat & potatoes of genealogy. It gives you a feeling for the lives back-in-the-day when our ancestors migrated to NY in the 1800-1850s. Surprising, too, as to how many moved on to Michigan and were named.

Phelps Line
Are you part of the Phelps line that has documented, via DNA testing, their relationships? A cousin sent me a file with names, names, and more Phelps names. I think my Dad had researched and found some relationship 35 years ago. Can you e-mail me and tell me where the Warner/Phelps lines come together?

Warner and the Church family
Len, I suppose you are thanking me for hooking up Rebecca (Warner) Church with her dad, Jesse Warner. I printed out the "Church"-surnames on Mary Jane's site and wonder how many on the list might be Rebecca's children. The hunt continues...
