Mary Golding?
Did you get your picture of the other side of the grave? I was just at that cemetery on Saturday as my GG Grandfather and Grandmother along with many other relatives are buried there. If i know where the grave is, I can get a picture for you if you still need it. Let me know. Sal

Sounds like a worthwhile mystery! You could try contacting the Cemetery directly at 604-325-2646 or mountain.view@vancouver.ca as they will probably have some original paperwork. Good Luck.

RE: William and Margaret Ellenwood
Michelle,

Thanks ever so much for doing this. Not sure if there are any other Ellenwood family members in this plot. If there is a Roderick Rayomond Ellenwood (July 31, 1905 -June 7, 20020 could you get a photo of his marker too? He was an unmarried son of William and Margaret. Not sure where he is buried but thought there might be a chance he is near his parents.

RE: A I Somerville
Hello Michelle,

I must apologize as I have not taken photos in the Mountain View, Vancouver Cemetery.

I do not know why I would have suggested the change for Ai Somerville's memorial. When was the SAC made? I do not have anyone in my family tree with the surname Somerville, I have not worked on the Vancouver Cemetery and only have on grand uncle interred there (surname Campbell). This is a total mystery to me.

In a bizarre twist of fate, I recently suggested a change for a memorial in the Santa Fe Memorial Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico for a man whose name was shown as "Ai" on the memorial but A. I. on the headstone. I, unfortunately, assumed this was the memorial you were referring to. I apologize again for the confusion.

Thank you again for everything you are doing to preserve the memory of those that have gone before.

Okay, I'll try this again and hopefully there won't be another "no message" message for you. Please send me the memorial # we are talking about. I've taken over 70,000 photos and I may be thinking of the wrong memorial. If I am, SORRY!!

I added a photo of the headstone to the memorial. The initials are quite clear.

Enjoy!!

RE: Elizabeth Somerville Clark, Adams township cemetery
Michelle, The information was in a book of obits in the Pawnee Republican. For George S. Clark it has his parents as John & Jane Clark; Spouses: Elizabeth Sommerville married July 26, 1838 at Ripley Co., IN. & Elizabeth Jennings married Nov. 25, 1852 at Ripley Co., IN. It has for Cornelius G. Clark & listed his parents as Geprge S. & Elizabeth Sommerville Clark, never had any other info and I never looked for the obit. There were other chidren with George S. & Elizabeth Jennings. I like to have family linked if possible so try to add as much info as I can find. I hope this helps. This info was from the Pawnee City Library. I hope this helps. Luella

RE: Riverside Cemetery, Eastend
Hi Michelle, yes that is my listing on the sask list. I've been doing some work for them also.

The listing for Eastend is only a partial listing as I said. The cemetery is in 3 sections and I only photographed one, which is the newest section. So the headstones you're looking for would probably be in one of the remaining 2 sections.

It's my intention to get back down there and photograph the rest, however, I'm not sure when that will be as I live in Regina.

Someone else may photograph the rest.

Regards,
Terry

ps I still haven't finished listing everything for Eastend on Find A Grave.

RE: Riverside Cemetery, Eastend
Hi Michelle:

Unfortunately I'm not a relation of the McCuaig family, but rather I do this as a hobby.

I was down at Eastend last summer and started photographing the Riverside cemetery, but unfortunately, I only had time to do the first 1/3 of the cemetery as it is so large and I had photographed 2 others (Robsart and Ravenscrag)that day.

It's my intention to get back there and photograph
the rest, but I'm not sure when, as I'm in Regina Saskatchewan, which is several hundred miles away.

All the pictures of headstones I took that day have not been listed, but in reviewing what I have, I couldn't locate the McCuaig or the Andersons that you mentioned.

If I do find them or return to photograph the rst of the cemetery, I'll let you know.

Regards,
Terry

Hi Michelle,

I'm not that close to Forest Lawn which is in Burnaby. It's not that far in miles but I'm not familiar with it. I hope that somebody picks up the request for you.

You're welcome, Michelle. I went twice because I wanted to make sure that I was in the right spot. Everyone else around her is marked, so I know I was right there.

Thanks for your kind words.

As soon as the snow melts, I'll go to the cemetery to get the pictures, and see if they are buried together.

Happy Holidays!

RE: Hoag headstones Ashland
Hi Michelle,

I'm sorry, I don't have any information about the Hoag family. But I know who might be able to help you. In Ashland, there is an office of the State Historical Society, and they have some genealogical records, of people who used to live in the area. They might be of more help than I could. Please let me know if you want their contact information.

If it would help, I could go to the cemetery, and see who they are buried next to. But I might have to wait until the snow melts. And if you want me to transfer the memorials over to you, I can do that. I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Paul

the cemetery is very large and will take many hours to photograph and then enter onto Find a Grave,
Just hope that some kind soul who lives near there takes up the challenge. It is quite a drive from where I live.

Hi Michelle..I was just going through various items and wonder if the details for August Bakke are correct? I found his attestation papres at http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/databases/cef/001042-119.02-e.php?image_url=http://data2.archives.ca/cef/well2/225497a.gif&id_nbr=21765 and they show something different.

RE: Catharine Ritter Davis
Hi Michelle,

I have no personal knowledge about Catharine Davis or her husband Daniel. The memorial was made according to a transcript of that cemetery, including the maiden name of Ritter.

Would you like me to transfer this memorial to you and you can make changes to the info based on your knowledge?
