William H. Groves 1879-1948
Hello Dana: I noticed that a grave marker picture you posted for William H. Groves is dated 1878-1931. However, his memorial dates are 1879-1948. I think the picture belongs to the other William Groves, whose dates are 1878-1931.

Thank you so much for all the work you do and for adding my grandmothers memorial. I have included her vital information that was missing.. I manage my grandfathers (James Earl) memorial and this has enabled me to attach her to him.. And I have also put in a request to attach there son as well.. Since the calculated info is incorrect. Once again thank you for volunteering your time to do all that you do for people you don't even know, just know that it is much appreciated. Holly L Turner

RE: Barney Poplawski Photo
HI Dana,

With the W is the old fashioned spelling. Laurence wanted it to be easier for his kids so he dropped the W. Yes, it is still the same family. Just like some of my La Fountain family members dropped the La and made the name just Fountain. To each his own. LOL

Thanks so much! I tossed those requests out there hoping someone familiar might be able to find them. About the only time I get down in that part of the state is when the Wings are playing, and finding graves in the snow is just not as much fun!

I have been working on photo requests at Ottawa Hills Cemetery in Toledo, OH and have managed to cut the requests in half! They do not allow photographers to photograph the stones so I go when they are closed. With over 8000 graves, I've been calling to get exact locations but they know my voice by now. Would you please call their office and get the location for your request? Then I can get you the photo. Thanks for your assistance! (419) 536-8321

I found David's headstone in the West Belmore Cemetery in Van Buren Township of Putnam County, Ohio. The cemetery is near Belmore, Ohio. Please chick on the picture of the tombstone. It will enlarge it and at the bottom is the information about the cemetery.
You are welcome.

I just got back from Beekman Cemetery. I verified there is no visible marker for John Hiteshew. There are several broken off bases visible. One could have been from his marker.

I have photographed 100% of the Beekman Cemetery. If there was a headstone for John T. Hiteshew, it is no longer in place. It could be buried or missing. When I first photographed the cemetery the farmer who mows and maintains the cemetery said that vandals had damaged stones in the past. It was possible the stone was destroyed in this vandalis act. If you have additional information, I will be happy to investigate more for you.

I was looking over your photo request for Ottawa Hills Cemetery. There are over 8000 burials covering many acres. An exact location of the plot is necessary and they will not give the info to volunteer photographers, citing privacy reasons. Please call the cemetery at (419) 536-8321 to get the exact location, as by now they recognize my voice, and then I will get your photo on my weekly trip while they are closed. Thanks!

Barbara Sleeper
Rosalia E Sleeper's monument
Thank you so much for taking the photo. it is a concern how much the monuments change and weather over the years. I wish there were a way to stop the change. I have found that if I take a jar of water and a art paint brush I can "paint" the lettering to make it easier to read. the old ones were made of limestone which "washes" away. thank you again for your efforts on my behalf. I sent you a couple emails to facebook explaining
some things and the family links you wanted are
added. Send me a friend request if you want to.
I was not angry about the request its just that
alot of people recently been wanting me to turn
over all that I have to them as they think I am
in no way related to the person.
