Couple of Gravers
RE: McConnell - Schwab
You are very welcome Laura. The markers are fairly close to each other. There is also a fairly old, small, gray stone marker for four infant sons of Frank and Lucy Schwab next to Lucy and Frank's marker.

Another thing with just the names I can't help. Do you have a year for those names? If we don't have years - how will we know.I have a John Clarke being born to a John Balkie and a Nellie in about 1895. They had a daughter Nancy around 1926 (census figuring). These are in Morella's line. This is probably not your line but just in case! - Elsetta

I researched a little about the Pilkingtons because Morella Whitcomb b 1844( an aunt) married John Balkie Pilkington in 1867 in Nevada. They had a son with the name you mentioned but you may be speaking of someone earlier in that line. I think their names repeat. I know that John's father was James P and his mom was Margaret - that is all I know as far as the Pilkington line going back. I am a Whitcomb researcher with Pilkingtons intermarried. I did not do much on them. If you are from John and Morella's line let me know. I do have more Whitcomb data.

The picture doesn't capture it well, but it does day "Ruth" and it is right next to her husband's stone. Lots of family buried within a few miles of here -- if you haven't visited I hope you get there sometime.

Thank you, Laura, for the picture of Daniel's stone. I appreciate the time you took to make a second trip to the cemetery and the work you did to clean it up and make it nice for the picture.
Have a GREAT day!

I don't have Arnelle but I have the rest of the family. I just checked with Charleston Library and they don't have the book. They have mine in there list of books to buy since they've seen it and want to add it but don't have the money. The Mormon's will buy every book available so they have both of them. I probably have enough on the family to do books on the Burch, Blackwell, Thomas family but I really feel like I've just started on them. email me at

Will be happy to transfer all people to you. Will do that today. Is good for families to put bio's and other information they have on our pioneers.
Thank you

Your grandmother is going to be in my book on the Burch family. I'd love to add the current generation to the book. If you have any bibles, old pictures etc I'd love to include it.

Laura, are you the person who requested photos for John and Mary? I went to post pictures and their listings are gone. Perhaps you could re-request and I will post pictures today.
