RE: Nothing
Not intentional. My husband passed away on Jun 10th and I have been busy sorting out the estate and trying to keep the business running and trying to find files on his computer. It has been a real challenge. His was a professional photographer and we did lots of photos. I learned a lot from him but not able to do some on the things he did. He had over 40 years of expertise on me. I will eventually get back to the families. I am also trying to finish up the cemeteries at the Omaruru Municipality Cemetery. I am still taking pictures. There are over 900 graves. I would say the project is about 85% complete.

Lee Family
Hello, I am related to your ggg-grandfather John L. Lee by way of his daughter Axie. I was wondering if you could tell me a few things about this line. Thanks.

Claude was a son of my great uncle, Major E. Gibbs. I am a great granddaughter of Major's brother, Thomas Elijah Gibbs. Thomas E. and his wife, Nancy Elizabeth Cosper, are both buried at Ranburne, as well as, my great, great grandparents Gibbs and my parents, William Albert Gibbs and Lemma Lee Otwell Gibbs.

Hi Jimmy, I have linked Hoyt to his parents and added the month and day, per your request. Would you like for me to transfer Hoyt's memorial to you as I see that you are his cousin? I will be happy to do so. I have many relatives buried at Campground and always went to their memorial day when I was a child and young adult with my parents. I am a Cosper, Earnest, Gibbs, and Sims descendant.

Thanks! I printed out a list of photo requests from a little cemetery near my house... quid pro quo seems in order!

Thanks so much for documenting these old cemeteries! I have pics of Union Cemetery, but didn't know this website was even here until this week. It's wonderful to discover that these old cemeteries are being documented and preserved in this manner. I have ancestors from my dad's side scattered all over Coosa and Tallapoosa Counties (Rehobeth, Union, and some I'd never heard of).

We used to do a lot of cemetery traipsing when I was a kid. Unfortunately, I live in Indiana now, so am not able to get down to see these new sites I'm learning about in person. What a gift you and others are giving to folks.

Is there anything particular I have to do to maintain Dad's memorial site, other than pay the sponsorship?

RE: John Larry Thomas
Thanks.. I am his daughter. And Ophelia Thornell's great granddaughter. Were the sites already sponsored? I didn't happen to notice when I did that, because it just seemed the right thing to do! Do you live in Coosa Co?

RE: Kirkpatrick
I only had the office look for Raymond Kirkpatrick. Do you know when he died? I don't see a death date for a Raymond or a Travis on If he is indeed buried at Elmwood, please call the office to obtain the Block and Lot numbers and repost your request. Thanks, David

RE: Hardy Jones
Jimmy -
Thank you so much for your great photos of Hardy Jones' grave. And we appreciate your efforts in looking for his wife's as well. Photos of graves personalize our ancestors from long ago and help provide information useful when putting together our family tree, a somewhat daunting task. Hardy was a relative we didn't know about until last year, and he's an interesting one. On behalf of my family who will benefit from your photos, we thank you very much!

Best wishes,

I wanted to thank you for the photo you posted. Most excellent! However, there is another photo on his page for James W. Michael. May I please ask you to remove the one that is not his?

Thanks so much!
