RE: Photo's
I have an idea where the cemetery is now. Drove up but couldn't see anything from road. I know the family so I am trying to contact them for permission before I start trudging all over their property.

RE: Photo's
Elizabeth, Hannah, Henry, Jeremiah, John, Richard, all appear to be around late 1600's to early 1700's. Evidently Hannah is an 8th great grandmother, and Richard is a 9th great grandfather.

Any idea where that Winslow Cemetery is?

RE: Photo's
I ended up going up there mountain biking today and thought I might as well get it done. There was a marker for a son of one of your requests so I added that one also. Sorry I cut off the top of the one monument but if you look at the picture, I put on the cemetery page, that is looking down the cemetery your monuments are all pretty much concentrated in the upper right area. A friend of mine showed me a picture of the cemetery as seen just above the roof of a covered bridge that crossed the North Branch of the creek. If I can get permission I will share it with you.

Hi Ron, are you related to Edward Nilan Jr. whose findagrave memorial you created? I am his Great Great Grandson, I would love to have it transferred to me if you are not a direct relative.

Hi Ron,

I have a question regarding this memorial..........I am having trouble reading the last three lines for this grave memorial for Henry Metzger.......I don't believe there's a birthdate (just a death date of 1851)but I think it may say "in the 32nd year of his life." Can you tell what the last three lines say?

I need this info to solve a mystery because I believe the birthdate for this Henry Metzger actually belongs to my 3rd great grandfather Henry Metzger who was born on 5/8/1819 while I believe the Henry Metzger here was the one born in May 1820. It's confusing because their parents were both Jacob and Maria Metzger; it just so happens two generations of Jacob's (father and son) both married women named Maria.

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Diane

No I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Mary.
I just add the memorials from deaths reported in my local newspaper, the Pottsville Republican & News Item.
Would you like me to transfer her to you ?

Hi, I would love to add this headstone photo to my family tree on Ancestry.com with the photo credit to you of course. Please let me know if you object to this or to let me know how you would prefer the photo credit worded. If I do not hear from you , I will assume it is okay to use it. Thanks so much.

You were at the cemetery last night?
Each email message was sent as an edit from the duplicate memorial and includes a link to your duplicate as well as the memorial number of the original memorial. What's not clear?

Hi Ron,
Did you miss the Fulcher and O'Neal Cemetery that's been on Find a Grave since 2006 when you added the Fulcher & O'Neal Cemetery?

Thank you so much for looking.
I will try to catch someone at the church office to see if they have a record of him being buried there and when.

RE: W. R. New photo request
since you live near the church, maybe you could call them 1st to see if they have a record of him being buried there?
William Rufus New may not have a stone and it would save you a trip.
thanks for your help.

by the looks of his wife's stone it looks like it may be a double stone with his name next to hers.

RE: Duplicate Memorials
Hi Ron,
You must have gone right to work! Thank you.

The North Branch Cemetery is very near Forkston. As you travel north on Route 87 from Mehoopany to Forkston, you make a right turn off from 87 (making a left there would take you to Forkston). You cross the bridge over the North Branch of the creek and you're on the road to Farr Hollow and eventually Jenningsville.
As soon as you've crossed the bridge you immediately start to go up a hill. The NB Cemetery is up on the hill on your right. I believe someone has recently built a house near the cemetery. The road to the cemetery used to be a narrow dirt road and maybe it still is. I'm not sure how close the new house is to the cemetery but they are close. I hope these directions are clear. It's a small cemetery and I don't think there have been any recent burials.
Thanks for all the contributions you've made to Find a Grave. You take great pictures!
Sincerely,
Maureen

Duplicate Memorials
Hi Ron,
I have been finding many duplicate memorials that you have added. Some of the confusion seems to be that you added the memorials to the wrong cemetery. Quite frequently, your memorials have been added to the North Branch Cemetery when they actually belong in the Jenningsville Cemetery.

You've done a great job taking photos. Perhaps you could move the photos to the pre-existing memorials in the Jenningsville Cemetery and delete the incorrect ones in the North Branch Cemetery. It's very confusing to have all of these duplicates not to mention that they are in the wrong cemetery.
Thank you in advance or your time and attention in correcting Find a Grave.
Sincerely, MTD
