You need to accept the additions and corrections sent to you. Did you notice his tombstone has his dates of birth and death. Also, if you do not know his birthplace and death place I will send them to you.

Sanders at ANC
ANC reports that, back in the day, there were times a spouse was not listed on a vet's stone -- Luella Sanders is one of those cases. So, their stone is on a list to be reordered. There is no timeframe for that to happen.

I'm at ANC every week, so, starting in a couple of months, I'll make weekly checks on their stone (it's easy, they're close to the roadway), and I'll let you know when it has been redone. I would predict that it will be at least four or five months, but, we'll see!

RE: The Sanders in ANC
It's fine to use them on your website -- please credit A E Horan. Thank you!

Unfortunately, yes, I sort of clean out messages as I go along these days, after accumulating over 1000! (I'm working my way back through the remaining 600+ to delete them, as well). I'm sorry, I didn't think that you might want them, so I didn't preserve them in any way.

The Sanders in ANC
So, here's the latest -- ANC does believe that Luella Sanders is buried there. Apparently, Mingo's stone was never updated to reflect that. This has now been referred to the ANC admins, who will confirm whether Luella is buried there and, if she is, a new stone will be ordered to show her name on the back, Mingo's on the front.

I will keep you updated as to their findings, and, if a new stone is put in, I'll photograph it and notify you.

RE: Luella Sanders
No problem -- I don't usually photograph the back unless there is someone on it, or if we thought someone might have been on it! So, no, I didn't read anything into your question, I just expected it, hence the photo. I will most definitely let you know what they say. It may take a day or so for them to get back to me, if they need to research their records. But, don't worry, I won't forget you!

And, yes, the War Dept record might be helpful.

RE: Luella Sanders
By the way, there is a memorial for Luella Mariah Sanders -- memorial # 49307876 by John Anderson, which means that she is in the VA Nationwide Gravesite Locator for Arlington. I'm wondering if the notation on the War Dept record that says "stone not required" somehow was misinterpreted and they never had a new stone ordered when she was buried, to put her name on the back of his. Again, I'll check with Arlington to see what they say.

RE: Luella Sanders
I did photograph the back of the stone for Mingo Sanders, because you had mentioned his wife being buried with him. (I just posted that photo on his page -- let me know if you want me to delete it). You can barely make out the "35" on the back of the stone, but I also carefully looked and traced with my hand the back and there was no other inscription on that side of the stone.

So, she is not named on the back of the stone, and she's not in any adjacent site -- there are soldiers buried on either side of Mingo Sanders. So, she's either there and not marked, or she was never buried there. I will check with the Arlington office on Monday to see if they have any info regarding her, and I'll let you know.

RE: Great news
You're welcome for the Sanders photos. Getting ready to post photos for Elias Johnson and his wife Lillian Johnson. Also, I'll have edits made to correct typos on Lillian's page and will have her linked to Elias.

By the way, there was no spouse with or adjacent to Mingo Sanders.

I'll also photograph Mingo Sanders' site today. And, later today, I'll send you an email about the background of the original sections at ANC.

There is already a photo with the memorial for Samuel Reid. Did you want something different?

William Moyer - Rawlins, Wyoming
Hello there!

I was trying to fulfill your request for William Moyer.

In the Rawlins cemetery there are 3 Moyer records.

Eddie Moyer (died 1937)
James Moyer (died 1980)
Robert M Moyer (died 1994)

Are you certain that William is here?

It's just occurred to me as I was typing this that I should check some spelling errors when I go back. Maybe Meyer, Meyor, etc. I have found several others misspelled as I've fulfilled requests.

Let me know if you think one of those 3 is him or if those 3 are ones you are related to also, I can get pictures of those too.

I want to thank you so very, very much for the gravestone of my lost great-grandparents. They were a missing link of my family tree for many years. I knew they were in Montana, but not where. Again THANK YOU -Carolyn Hammond-Dyer

Thank you SO much
Dear friend,

I cannot thank you enough for getting the pictures for Jeff and Tina LoTurco. They were students of my husband's many years ago. The tragic accident that took their lives was a great blow as they had only been married a short time and were so young. They were serving the Lord faithfully and we are certain they are with Him today. May God bless you for your help in this matter.
