RE: Transfer
Richard's mother, Iona was my paternal grandmother's sister. I believe you're related to Becky May. She was one of my best friends in high school.

RE: Thelma Johnson Friend
Those were the two I came up with when I did the search. I will have to get back with you on marriages. Uncle Bill had 2 children by first marriage. The children he had with Thelma, I'll have to get the names. Have a great week end!

I searched by name then by cemetery, I don't see any memorials for them by Greg. Maybe they have been removed?

RE: Thomas Carl Johnson, et al
Hi! The family member I knew was Thelma. She was my Uncle Bill's wife after my Aunt and him were divorced. I always from way back when I remember knew my Uncle Bill as Uncle Bill. When he married Thelma, I just started calling her Aunt Thelma too. Thelma was my cousins step-mother. My cousin and I set out to find family and I knew that these people were a part of hers. I can't recall ever meeting them but I did marry and move in 1964. Uncle Bill passed away about 3 mos. before my Mom. We were at his funeral and Mom's would be the next funeral. I was brought up to respect all family and call them uncle or aunt or whatever no matter if they were 1st or 15th. I do know a lot do not on her don't see it that way. If you have questions, just ask and I will try to find out. Thanks for answering.

As far as I know, if I'm related to Janet, it's very distantly. I saw you have Richard May's. He's my second cousin on my Father's maternal side. Are you related to him?

Robert May and Lula Smith
Jayne - I received your message. The 1940 census says they are married. The 1930 census shows Lula McCrory and Robert May living together as cousins then the next census shows they are married. I can't find anything to disprove the union.

Dear Jayne,
I found information in Mabel Thum or Mabel Thumb who was related to John May on Family Search that might lead you in right direction. There is copy of theirs marriage license on website.

Swanswimmer
Werking Famiky
Hi, Jayne. I wonder if we are related? My great grandmother is Florence Ellen Werking Evans, wife of Oliver Evans. My grandmother is Faye Leona Evans.
My Dad is 91 and when I showed him a picture of David Werking and Catherine Swafford Werking, he recognized them. I have been searching for quite a while to find Oliver Evan's grandparents. Oliver's dad, Thomas J Evans was born in Ohio and lived in Adams county, OH until moving to Indiana where he died in Greentown in 1899. There are tons of Evans in Ohio and Indiana but I can't find a trace of Thomas's parents. I really appreciate the work you are doing to preserve our history. Donna

George R. May
From ancestry.com, I have George's WWI Draft Registration. He gives a different birth date than is on his tmobstone inscription.....March 13, 1881. Can you explain this difference? I am helping a dear friend Peggy May Smith with her genealogy. George would be her grandfather. Please telephone me at 317-410-1073. I would love to talk to you about this issue and other questions I have.

Hi - I put a note in the bio field that the photo is wrong but unfortunately you cannot delete photos added by other members. This photo was added in 2010 and the memorial was then transferred to me in 2011 with the wrong picture. It would be nice if there was a report wrong image button!

Dale Working
David Hollinger Werking
Just for kicks I thought I would let you know that he is a very distant cousin. My Family Tree Maker says he is a second cousin 4X removed. So if you are related to David our connection would be from
Johann Nicklaus Wercking/Werkinger/Werking (1722-1792)

I have been tracing the family back to Anton Wercking in Mandel,Germany.
