Thank you for transferring the management of my great grandparents Lonnie and Sudie Hedgpeth to me. I never met them in real life, so at least I can virtually take care of them now. :)

Thanks for accepting these photo requests, I am not related. I would like to encourage you to get photos of other memorials in the Roy cemetery that do not have them as it would make the trip more worthwhile than just doing 5 photos.

|Whispers From The Grave||RE: Rosa Sheer|
You're welcome. Rosa is my relative too. I took that picture in 1999 but I couldn't find where I had put it. I found an old scrapbook the other day and saw that I had put it in there. I was glad to find it because I thought I had lost it! It's the only copy I have and now Rosa's stone is gone. I think it sank into the ground. :o(

Rachel, would you pleases link Reginald 70084645 and Aubrey Lee Hood 70084629 to their parents, John W. and Rachel Ann Hood [Kuykendall] 70084607, or grant me the power to do so.

Please note folling message and move the photo to the correct memorial.
The bottom photo on #65041049, added by Rachel Francis, is in the wrong memorial page. It's the photo of the plinthe monument script: "Adelphia wife of J.Markward" which belongs to #65040084, Adelphia Florence White Markward. I could see the misunderstanding with the two Adelphia's buried there.

I too am part of the military family and live less than 50 ft from the fence surround the west side of Ft Hood. Thank you for providing info to those that request photos on Ft Hood. I am working with the Cultural Resources as my father's family, the Grahams and all those others that connect have given me fodder for a book for my family, especially since my dad passed away last year.
I'm amaze at all the history I've come across and since I'm taking photos of family headstones, I began offering my services for findagrave.com.
Happy Huntin' Carolyn

|Joan Alexander||RE: John Kendrick|
Several months ago, I went to the Mitchell Cemetery in Greensboro on a Find a Grave trip, and took some Kendrick photos...
Just today while volunteering at the Glover Historical Society, while searching for a photo someone had requested, I ran across a tintype labeled "John Kendrick"--I recognized the name and scanned it, and tonight went back into the Findagrave website to see the John Kendrick at the Mitchell Cemetery...I didn't recall that there were three different John Kendricks there!
This tintype was found in the collection of a Borland family of Glover, and Glover is a neighboring town of Greensboro, but I have no idea which John Kendrick the tintype pictures, or, of course, if it even is one of those Johns, though it does seem likely.
Is it anything you would like to see? Do you have any photos of any of those John Kendricks?
Just let me know if you would like me to email you that scan of the tintype.

|Whispers From The Grave||RE: Eli Biven|
It's okay. I felt bad when I couldn't find his marker. At the time the cemetery was walked to record information for the cemetery book, it was there but over the years it disappeared.
His wife Mary doesn't have a stone either. Their daughter Rosa Bivens Sheer has a stone because I took a picture of it way back in 1999 but I
can't find the picture and now her stone is gone.
It must've sunk into the ground. If I ever find the picture that I took, I am going to add it to her memorial.

He has a service marker beneath the dirt.
I drive this way twice a week with my college age son, he said he would bring something to clean it off next week on our way by and I will get a photo of it as well.

Please feel free to rearrange the photos or to eliminate the ones that are not the John Kendrick you asked for...I had already posted all three when I realized the other John and Janett had their own pages, so then I also uploaded their photos to their own pages...
It is a beautiful little hillside cemetery, out in the country that I had never been to before...it was a treat.

|lisaheizer||RE: William Carothers|
Thank you! I would love to have his death cert. and any photos that you take. I do not know why there are two listings. My guess is that his grave is actually in Senterfitt; he is not listed on the usgwarchives.net listing for Center Cemetary and his wife is listed as being buried in Senterfitt.
William Howell Carothers (my ggrandfather), son of Samuel Moore Carothers (1842-1926) and Sallie Harriet Young (1847-1913), was born 7/28/1875 and died 12/25/1957.
His wife (my ggmother) was Florence Payne (1879-1939) [# 43172114]. I have an open request for a photo of her grave, too.
> William Carothers
Question why is there 2 different listings? One in Senterfitt and the other in Center Cemetery. I found a death Certificate for William Howell Carothers. His parents were F.M. Carothers and Sally Carothers. On the two different pages their date of birth dates are different. On the death Certificate I found his date of birth as July 28, 1875 and the date of death was Dec. 25, 1957. If you want the death certificate I can give that to you as well.... Just trying to figure it out :) I am going out to take pictures anyways at both places so I will keep my eyes open :)
