RE: Esther H Delling Skillings Chick
When I did the research on the Oakland people 40+ years ago, I didn't document well (I've learned my lesson about that), so unfortunately, I have no idea where the info came from. It might be on her gravestone, it may have been in a family genealogy, I just don't recall.

Hi Merrylyn,
Happy to do it on a bonus day in fall. You mentioned "Esther" and her maiden name. Which Esther. Most of these are not my memorials in this cemetery, so I might not be able to change it.

I am not a relative. This was a grave that I photographed in the process of documenting an entire cemetery. I am sorry that I do not have any other family info for you.

I don't have too much documentation in this area of my family. I believe it to be Laughton. Are you in relation to this family? :-)

Hi Merrylyn,
There are 3 Lydias buried in the same plot as William Russell in the Bingham Cemetery and none of them are his wife. The first, Lydia d. 1865 is his mother. The second, Lydia May d. 1861 seems to be a cousin. The third, Lydia E. d. 1903, is his sister. I sent edit requests to get them connected.

I have taken photos of all the stones in this cemetery and over time will get them all entered. If there is someone in particular you are looking for, let me know and I will bump them to the head of the line.

RE: Abbie Holt
You are very welcome! I did see a stone for a Leonard Holt off by itself. I was unable to read the exact dates but it was sometime around the 1860's?

RE: The McPherson plot
Hi Merrylyn,
I'm still working on photos from about 8 cemeteries I stopped at today, with a cat insisting on stretching out on my laptop... Yes, the other McPhersons are on the back side of Europe's.

I also added the Chadbournes that were in the same area (Lendall, Esther, Sarah). There was another stone, but it was mostly unreadable. All I can make out are "daughter of......and S." and died Sept. 18?3

This cemetery is located on the Russell road in Madison, Maine.

RE: Ada Wilkinson HIlton
I added a wider view of the stone; you can see her name is not on the front, either. Behind the stone is a big "Wilkinson/Hilton" marker with no first names on it.

Hope this helps your search.

Harriet, Samuel, Winthrop, and Ernest Hilton
Hi Merrylyn,

I visited Plot 174 at and photographed all the Hilton stones there: William D, Sarah E, Samuel, Mabel, and Grace.

There is no Harriet, no Samuel, no Winthrop, and no Ernest. I will be uploading an image of the plot to each, shortly.

RE: Ada Wilkinson HIlton
See the blank area under the name Frank Seal Hilton? That's where his wife's name -- Ada Wilkinson Hilton -- is supposed to be carved. Sometimes people get buried and for whatever reason, the name is not added to the stone.

You can call the cemetery and ask them further about this. (401) 272-1314.

RE: Thank you!
Yep, that cemetery was taken in August, but I had back-burnered it. Saw your requests and dug them out. I generally take photos in the "grass" months and then enter them in the "snow" months. Gives me a project for the long snowed in days :) I will finish that cemetery soon, but if there are any names you know of, send them on and I will get them posted sooner. Also, if you would like them transfered, I would be happy to do that as well.

RE: FAG memroial #111350361
I don't really know anything about the family. I created the memorial as a favor for a friend who likes to take photos, but doesn't like to create or manage memorials, so I create any she needs. (She took these while on vacation there.) And my area of expertise in research is really more Massachusetts, so I wasn't able to add anything more to what was on the marker. Sorry I can't be more help. :-(

Good luck with your search!

RE: thank you!
You are welcome. Her husband Alvin Mooar is supposed to be in the cemetery also. The stone to the right of hers, which is just a plain stone with no inscription may be his. I will go back and try to see if there is any writing on it.
