Thanks so much for the pics of George's stone. I sure would have enjoyed walking thru that older cemetery and looking at those old stones! Hope you didn't have much trouble finding his. Once again, thanks for taking the time and doing this for me.

Thanks so much for the information. My sisters Darlene, Lori, and I are going to go to the grave yard and get a picture of aunt Doris's stone. She is mom's twin and I am going to add her. I have added moms sisters Evangeling Taflinger, Clitis Torpey Christena Baumann and Alma Conway. Mom has two other sisters, Aunt Mildred and Aunt Harriet that I have to find and add, then that will complete her sisters.

I added the information that you supplied along with your member number so I will have it available for transfer.
Do you think he is in the most likely cemetery?

Yes, I will transfer the memorial to you, but it will be a bit.
I want to look up the article in the Seymour newspaper and see if it has more family information.
I get to Seymour at least once a month for research and will go in the next 2 weeks.

Please look at this Find A Grave Memorial# 137423196 for a Louis Gallion and see what you think.
I am NOT related, just his news and obituary was on the page I copied for my research.

Hi Jan! yes my mother did have a twin sister name Doris. Somthing just told me to google my moms name and to my surprise her grave stone was right there. I was shocked and could not wait to find out how it got there. This is so cool, me and my sisters have been wanting to find out some history of my grandmas side of the family. Nice to know I found a distant cusin. Do you live in Madora or around that area? Would love to find out some more history. Can't wait to tell my sisters.
Keep in touch

Hi Jan I am Jackie Romine Burton and the other day I googled my moms name and found her memorial stone on the net and that brought me to the Find A Grave site. I see that you had put the picture of her grave stone on this site. I just wanted to say thanks. I have added a couple of her pictures to the site.

My only source is THE WEDDLE BOOK which I have found to have significant errors. The Matlock's being a typical example.
I'll change Richard's memorial to reflect your information [i.e. burial unknown but likley TN].
Any other clues about Mary that you can tease-out of the data would be appreciated.

Once again, thank you for the photos. They are very good, clear and easy to read.
I appreciate it very much.
Thank you for removing the other note, it is what they wanted to do, and perhaps I'll be able to make links in the future or add it into the memorial.

Find A Grave Memorial# 117620786
Thank you very much for the photo for Autumn.
When I posted the memorial, the family expressly asked the FULL obituary with their names be omitted.
Please go back to this memorial and remover the obituary placed, BUT you can place into comments for the lovely photos you took for her memorial.
There are some family issues I'd rather not encounter, so please remove it from the post and just add it into the comments in the photo.
Thank you very much,

My gggrandfather was Harvey Harlow and lived in Seymore, Carr Twnshp, IN in 1870 Census with my ggmother, Ona Mae Harlow and her brother, Alvah. I am looking for information about this Harvey, to find out if the Harvey buried in Medora (d 15 Nov 1870) is or is not in fact my gggrandfather. Thank you for any information provided.

No, I have been chasing down the gravesites of the WWI casualties from Lawrence County; Oviel Greenlee is published as a resident and also has a cenotaph in Beech Grove Cemetery in Bedford.
Most are farm boys who are long forgotten.
