RE: Ellen Barkey
Hi Rebecca - she was the daughter of Edward Henry Beaver (1837-1905) and Mary A. Weirick (1839-1923). There is a Vet burial card for Edward (he served in Co I, 184th PA Regt in the Civil War) that says he is buried at Beavertown.
I haven't looked on FG to see if anyone has posted a memorial for them - but this is NOT a strong area for me. My pea brain mixes up Beavertown and Beaver Springs if I'm not staring at a map; and all I've done in that area is a drive through - I'm working my way from the eastern part of the County to the western part. There seem to be different cemeteries in Beavertown that all run together; not sure if that's accurate and they just refer to the entire site as the Beavertown cemetery - there are two or three churches at the same location.
Mary Weirick Beaver's death cert says she is also buried at Beavertown. Edward died prior to the start of those records.
Hope that helps! Steve

RE: Ellen Barkey
Hi Rebecca - the source was her death certificate. I've been working on the Beaver family file, primarily for Snyder County, for about a week, doing lot of additions and updates. I can get you a copy off of Ancestry, if you like (just let me know), but this is how I've transcribed the information:
DC-Lewistown for Mrs Ellen Barkey, wife of Daniel, b. Beavertown, dau of Edward and Mary (Werick) Beaver, died of tuberculosis, buried at Mt Rock, informant is Alpha G. Ulsh, Baltimore (rel?).

Question about the inscription
Is it possible the inscription could read "Dau of Thomas Curran & Annabelle McEntee" instead of Dau of Thomas Skinner? I live in Texas so would not be able to check. Thanks, Sharon Crowley

Death: Dec. 4, 1939

Inscription:
Died-ALBION, NY-WIFE OF WARD, DAU OF THOMAS SKINNER & ANNABELLE McENTEE

My bad! He does not have 2 markers - one was his military plaque and one the double headstone but I accidently made 2 memorials. I deleted the one and linked his wife to the other and added the second photo.

Go to each memorial and at the edit tab just put "please transfer" in the suggestion box. I'll get the info I need and they are all yours!

Many thanks for your time and efforts in providing the clear photo of the headstone. I've been doing research on the Sloss family for my brother-in-law and this photo lends closure to his branch of the family tree.
Warmest regards,

Karylyn Petrie
Quiet Rest Cemetery - Wyoming
I have noticed that you have listed 2 people in the Quiet Rest, William Affeldt - 70843719 and John Affeldt - 70843765. These are duplicates of memorials I listed quite some time ago. William is 12286729 and John is 12274743. Would you like to merge these two so the count remains true to this little cemetery? Thanks, Karylyn

I linked Mr. Taylor to his parents. I do have a question though. Another person gave me the birth and death dates so I am uncomfortable changing them. Have you any way to figure out which one is correct?

RE: Joshua Smith photo
Joshua is buried in an older public lot where there are very few markers, but the cemetery records indicate that he is buried in Grave 35 in Public Lot 1--his grave is not marked...sorry.
