Morris Howard Brown's death certificate says he died in Charlottesville,Oct. 22, 1917 and is buried in the cemetery that looks to be Maplewood. Are there other cemeteries in the area that are called Maplewood or start with Maple? I am pretty sure it is Maplewood on his death certificate, however.

Many thanks for the pic of the CSA soldiers plaque at the University of VA Confederate Cemetery, and especially the close-up pic of this gentleman's name.
They are a wonderful addition to his memorial!

|KG Williams||Thank you for your research|
We had no idea that our great grandfather did not have a headstone. However, I am glad that they provided you with the plot info. Do you have a contact person that I can follow up with? I have passed the info over to my parents so that they can resolve this issue.
Thanks again -

Thanks for tracking down Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Smith. Sorry to send you on a wild goose chase to find out the sites were unmarked - but that is information I did not have.
I greatly appreciate your repeated help.

Thanks for searching for my relative. According to the Bell Funeral Records, all of my relatives outside of my paternal grandparents, are all buried in Oakwood. This summer, I plan to come to Charlottesville to take pictures of their stones. Thanks for trying to find her.

Thank you for the information on Lawrence Pitman, I have noted it on his record. I will look further into this. It was from a bible record that he was at Oakwood, but it could have been an error in the recording. I do appreciate your help.

Susan, thank you for the information regarding the headstone. I sent the information to the creator of the memorial and ask that they add it to his memorial. That way it will alert others before they request a photo. Your time and kindness is greatly appreciated.
