Brien Malone
RE: Sandra and Bernice Brien
How wonderful! (Re: middle name). Brien is indeed a rare surname.. Imagine my surprise when a Brien family moved into my neighborhood! I live in Roseville, CA - a suburb of Sacramento. I have only chatted with the wife briefly online (a Brien by recent marriage). It sounds like they are part of a west coast branch that goes back several generations.

I am a proud owner of "The Briens of Nashville". Are you familiar with it? Such a curious book. Someone who isn't even related to our family found us interesting enough to research. I remember at some point in the 80s, Sandy started plotting the family tree. After she retired, she intended to get back to it. Unfortunately, she didn't get any further before passing unexpectedly a few years ago.

I had no idea Paul had so many siblings. And a bit of drama to boot. (A sister who was likely murdered by her husband...) I have a handful of correspondence between Paul and his older brother Leo ... Paul was always so stoic when I knew him. It was amazing to read the excited, energetic conversations of young men dreaming of owning an aircraft company. I hope to digitize it so I can pass it on to my cousins (Elaine's three sons).

Nice to know you! Paul had two daughters, Sandy and Elaine. I'm Sandy's son, Brien. I have 3 sons -- my youngest is Eric Brien Malone... We wanted to keep Paul's family name alive in our family tree for at least one more generation.

Hey ASB, I was wondering if I could get a transfer from you. I see you have Muriel Partington's grave. She's my 2nd great aunt and I'm in the middle of putting our genealogy together. Of course if your related I would be more then happy to send you the links of some of the other relatives I have on the site, I have all her information.

RE: Annie Prather #65482560
Hello, I just saw you sent me a message late last year and I wanted to help out in anyway I could.
After reading the bottom of the one photo I saw I posted Pheobe Prather's picture next to the Unknown photo because they were next to one another and were made of the same stone. So I honestly am not sure who's headstone is located on Annie Prather's spot.
I could delete the photo off her name and just add it to the cemetery under unknown and that should help fix the problem. I took a picture of every stone out there and if it's not listed then I didn't see one for Annie Prather. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi and thanks for pointing this out. There are actually two Thomas Dills on this headstone, the 2nd one Col. Thomas Melville Dill is in the dark portion near the bottom, somewhat hard to see unless you open at full size.
Kind Regards,
Scooter T

Burton Transfers
Thank you for transferring the Burton ladies over to my care. My family and I are so grateful for your generosity! My father is the last of his line, and remembers his cousin Ethel and Aunt Rose quite vividly, as they lived right next him on the family plot of land.

I benefit from your generosity, by seeing the joy in my 81 year old father's face, that more of his loved ones have been found; and I have gotten to hear more family stories!

Wishing you many joys and blessings!

Margaret (Burton) Kenyon + Burtons
Hi again, ASB!
When I realized through my family tree that Margaret Kenyon's mother (Rose J. Burton) and her sister (Ethel M. Burton) died in the same county in Connecticut, as Margaret I was hoping they may be in the same cemetery as she is. Sure enough they are! I have sent you requests for both ladies, if you are amenable to transfer them over to me .

Thank you again for creating the memorials for these ladies and helping me to locate them after all of these years! I will delete the memorials I had made, and update yours to link to the other family members!

I can't wait to tell my family that they have been found!

Olin and Margaret Kenyon Transfers
Good Morning ASB,
I want to thank you for transferring Olin and Margaret Kenyon to my care. I will be linking the two, as husband and wife, and merging the info from the memorials that I had made for them.

Thank you again for making their memorials! We are so very grateful!

Olin and Margaret Kenyon
Hello ASB,
I see that you made memorials for Olin B. Kenyon (71776810)and his wife Margaret Kenyon (71776809), in Barlow Cemetery, Windham County, Connecticut back in 2011. Before I delete the ones I made in 2014, or ask you to merge the info, I'd like to see if they are related to you. Margaret's father and my great-grandmother were (1/2) brother and sister.

If they are not related to you and you don't mind transferring both of them to me, please let me know. Then I will formally request the transfers from you and just update their info myself. If they are related, and you plan to keep the memorials, I will then submit information to you through the edit tabs for updating.

I had made a virtual memorial for Margaret to be able to hook her up with her parents and siblings. We had no idea where they were buried, so thank you for creating memorials for her and Olin! Very much appreciated!

Elizabeth Wilmot Mix
That would be fine to leave the picture there and give me credit. However, she is not actually buried in the Grove Street Cemetery. She was buried in the New Haven Green and the tombstones were moved to the wall of the Grove Street Cemetery in the early 1800's. Thanks for asking permission.

RE: Daniel Willmot 16174419

You may use the photo of Mr. Willmot's grave marker for any of your genealogical projects, and I thank you for taking the time to write to me. All I ask is that you mention his Find A Grave memorial number and that I took the photo.

Scores of the gravestone photos I have taken and submitted to Find A Grave memorials are all over the genealogical websites, and the people who have helped themselves to them have posted those photos as their own. Many of those same people claim to have advanced educational degrees. It would only take a minute to add a note to reference their sources. Disappointing.

Thank you very much for your consideration - I appreciate your thoughtfulness!

Best regards,

Pamela Soule in Woodstock, CT
Hello, ASB. I was very pleased to find the grave of my aunt Pamela documented on FindAGrave. Thank you for taking the time to upload her. I am a nephew of Pamela, and our lineage can also be traced back to George Soule. My aunt met a terrible fate, unfortunately. Her life was ended prematurely by her husband. I wonder if any other Soules have met a similar fate. Makes you think.

RE: Thank you
I had originally looked for Kate and somehow missed her. I have placed the photo in the older memorial and deleted the one I created per your suggestion.

I also took a picture of the headstone of Kate R. Fleming. Her headstone was right next to David Fleming's. I assumed she was his spouse perhaps. I created a memorial for her and added the photo. Hope it is of interest to you.

If you wouldn't mind the transfer I'd appreciate it. He didn't like to talk about his family life but I do know the only "close" family he had was his mother and sister, which are now both deceased I see. It would mean a lot to me.
