Stewart Grave
I checked Section L, Lot Number 62 and found a grave for Viola Stewart - however dates show birth of 1915 - death 1936. Your request had this listed as stillbirth. Also in this Section and lot were gravestones for Tupper - I've added them to their memorials. Let me know if you want me to add the gravestone for Viola.

RE: Jos & Caroline Stewart
You're welcome. I will go look for the other Stewart gravestones next time i go back to the cemetery. When there are a lot of requests for the cemetery, I search by sections. That way I can search for all requests for a section at the same time to save my doubling back.

RE: Mary Samsel m. John Ball 1830 etc.
Please check the date below for Abraham, son of Conrad. I think the date is 1717 rather than 1771. The dates do not seem close enough to the siblings.

RE: Mary
Hello PAS: Many thanks for your e-mails. The information which you cited for Mary Magdelena Samsel matches the dates on her headstone (See Find A Grave# 84178309). She was clearly married to John Philip Ball (Find A Grave #84179162) since they are buried next to one another in the Charles Evans Cemetery in Reading, PA. They were my 3-great grandparents. Buried on the same plot is her mother Hannah Weicker Samsel (Find A Grave#84180202) (1776-1860). The gravestone is shattered but I could read the DOD as 1860 which matches the Federal Mortality Schedule, as well as CE Cemetery burial records. Hannah Weicker Samsel was married to Abraham Samsel, who I am sure is the Abraham Samsel buried in the Christ Church in Trumbauersville, PA. Abraham's death records indicate that he died June 4, 1826 at 60 years old, so he would have been born around 1766-1767. Church records indicate a baptism of an Abraham Samsel in 1771, so either Abraham 1766 was 5 at baptism or the baptism was of the other Abraham Samsel (1771-1789). Clearly Abraham (1771-1789) was not 60 y.o. at death. The Find A Grave memorial for the Abraham Samsel headstone in Christ Church indicates he was 60 years old. The DOD on the memorial is June 8, 1780 however, this is essentially unreadable. I have been to the Christ Church and could not find the gravestone since most are unreadable. I have asked Aimee Pattison to recheck the date since it probably incorrect on the memorial.

I have seen your message to Aimee concerning the other Hannah Samsel, 1839-1843,(Find A Grave# 55801666), i.e. the child of Johannes and Leanna. Her parents would be Leanna Cope (Find A Grave# 88847110) and John Samsel (Find A Grave# 88286861).

I hope to clarify the Abrahams. Thank you. Rich Roberts

Thank you for the email. This Hannah is a child, dau. of Johannes & Leanna. I didn't add spouse or children to Abrahams memorial. I only add info I have proof on thru church records.
Merry Christmas & God's blessings.

RE: Stewart Family-Riverside Cem.
You are very welcome. Your request was easy it had the section and number.

Right now it is snowing and most stones can not be read but I do have many pictures a friend and I took through the years that I do not have time to post.

I do not have the new section but I do have much of the old section.

If before you make your post call Riverside to get the correct section.
Office Hours: 7:30am - 3:30pm

Sample of sections A-1 or B-3 or G4) My pictures are all in folders named like that and some are not named so I would not have time to go through all the folders to find what is needed. I love helping people.

I am not just writing this for you, I am hoping other people will see this message and call first.

Shick Photos
I am uploading several Shick photos today for the memorials that you requested. I can send a copy of the cemetery card for Jacob Shick, Sec 2, Lot 206, if you would like. No markers for Jacob & Eliz. Donna

Do you know where the book "sorting of the Samsels" may be available? Mary Magdalena Samsel Ball = 84178309 was my 3GGM.

Funny - I was just about to get to them. I did go ahead and post their obits before I transferred them to you so if you don't want it published do as you wish.

It came from RootsWeb. I was working on the South family and he married a Mary SOuth. They show him died in New Jersey. There is one that was born 1838 in VA

The grandmother of this person is listed as his mother. The father is correct.

Pat, I added your info and made your links to Roy's memorial. If you have an obit, that would be great to add. I was unable to find one in my database, so by all means, add it as a jpg or copy the text into an "edit" suggestion. Thanks! Ellen

I photographed the headstone for Brazilla in Upper Tinicum and transferred to you. I see there is confusion about the burial but thought you had a better chance of figuring it out than I did. Good Luck. Lizann

Hi! Thanks for your email about duplicate records. The other (earlier) record is by someone who is either dead or has decided to abandon his F.A.G. records. You can try to contact him, but I predict that he will not answer. Your best bet is to make your links to my record instead of his. I am very much alive! Periodically Find A Grave will merge duplicate records and incorporate my data into his (which is fine with me). Hope this helps! Ellen

RE: Samsels in Holcombe-Riverview Cem., NJ
I have transferred the four Samsels to you. I would not not 'move' Brazilla yet, but I would add the stone you found and in the biography part note what you have told me. You will have to contact the Holcombe Cemetery records and see what you can find to sort this out. Good luck!
