Hi Paul,
You're welcome, with all my heart. I also have two children and it is inconceivable to lose one. Two such beautiful young people, very sad. Good, that there is hope that at some point you see again. All the best for you and for your family, Monika

It was a honor, they were beautiful people.

As a father of two, I can't imagine the loss of one.

There is a time of griefing, a time of coping and there is a time of healing.

For You and your family the very best.

Klaus

Dear Phil,
Thanks for letting me know about Lindsey Jo. Sometimes I feel that God works miracles, in all the pain when losing someone, all of a sudden there is a new life, either in your own family or at least somewhere quite close, bringing you new joy and showing that life does indeed go on - even though we just cannot understand how this is possible when we are the ones to lose someone beloved; how can this world continue to turn when our hearts seem to break and we lack all power and energy. Well, then there are the moments when we are reminded that there is still hope and - new life. And the prospect of your grandchild is a wonderful one, I am so pleased for you. A whole new generation. Wishing you all the best, your friend

Dear Phil,
It was my honor to visit your son's memorial and that of his girlfriend. Some of my friends are 'orphaned' parents, i.e. parents who have lost a child, luckily, the families I know still have got at least one more kid to have given them enough reason to go on. It is such an immense tragedy to think about parents surviving their children, and I cannot think of any greater pain. Sending you my sincere friendship and a kind hello from across the big pond, your friend xxx Edda
