One more thought: there is a WPA tombstone transcription report from the 1930s that includes St. Michael's cemetery. I have seen it online, I believe on Ancestry. It would be worth looking for it in case they recorded a stone for him at that time, or any other family members that might be in the same cemetery.

PA death certificates from 1906-1963 are available online through Ancestry.com. However, if you are a PA resident, you may search them for free. Here is some info on access:

There are also som Delaware County newspapers available online that are searchable for free through the Delaware County Public Library system. Perhaps they might have something on him:
