RE: Genealogy records and other
I am sorry that I don't have an easy answer for you. The only way would be to email F.A.G. directly and ask that they intercede for you. Do it early on a Monday for the best results. I wish we could do a reverse link, that is link parents to children instead of children to parents. It seems it is always a work in patience! I have someone at Blue Valley that has a wife buried next to her first husband and they have her as being next to her parents and I haven't been able to get that corrected yet! Good luck.

I will check to see if they would be interested in a copy of your book. If they aren't I am sure the Adams County Historical society would be. That is a very generous offer. I will email you what I have on Mary Sader.

RE: Bob and Ardis French photo
Glad to help! I believe Bob may have had the room next to my Great Gram Kutcher at the nursing home in Kahoka before he passed. I know she mentioned Mr French living "next door" :)

Take care,

RE: Martha Ann Randall
I appreciate hearing from you on Martha Ann. I often wonder about the lives of the people represented by a tombstone etching. Not only my own family and friends, but the lives of others as well. The hardships that so many of them went through, the losses without ever knowing what really happened, and the missing generations that failed to develop because of early deaths; we wonder how life might have been effected for those of us who did "walk through this life." I understand your sentiments very well.

RE: Genealogy Notebooks
I think you are sending them to the best people. If these books are for the info for Webster county etc. then that is where they should be. I will let the girls at the historical society know about them, they belong to a genealogy group that may come from several counties. At least you knew the value of the books. Too bad they are going to miss the great Nebraska winter!! We did have a few snowflakes this morning and 4 tenths of rain Friday evening, so that is great for the moisture we all need so much.

RE: Genealogy Notebooks
I am so glad you asked before letting them be disposed of. Younger generations won't know what they missed until it is too late, and they have to be interested in this history to want to keep it.

RE: Geanealogy Research
Oh, please don't throw them away!! Too much history could be lost forever. Please call or take them to the historical society of Adams county. They know so many people who may know of these family's. I don't know where you live but if you want to email me at to see if I can be of any assistance. Especially meticulous notes are fantastic. I personally don't know these family's but would be willing to help out.

I wanted you to have ownership of her memorial so you can update it more. I did add her DOB and parent links you provided. Hoping she's happy she's being remebered esp. with her DAR interests, etc. Great you carry this on also. I'm sorry for your loss too! Best wishes!

Yes, I took pics of Nelson L., Estella O., Eliza, Fannie E. and the large obelisk for N.L. Randall (which is nearly illegible). I will post these, if there are entries. Steve H.

Harper headstone
THANK YOU so much for you time and efforts in cleaning and photographing the Harper headstone. Josie Harper was the 2nd wife to my great great grandfather Alonzo Cranmer, and "Grandma Josie" was the grandma that my grandma knew. Josie married Henry Harper after Alonzo's death. I have a photo of Josie that I will post on Findagrave. Again, thank you so much.

Etta and Earl Rector
Thank you for getting these pictures for me. It is not necessary to transfer them to me as they were friends of my Grandparents Virgil and Bessie Roe. You might be interested to know that Earl and Etta were husband and wife...when she died he married a lady named Tinsy and I don't know where she is buried. She lived to age 96 Thanks Jan

Problem with locating Dowdy graves at Moscow Cemetery
Thanks for taking the time to search for these graves. I'll just put it on hold for the moment. I am doing a family tree for one of the descendants of this Dowdy family and am trying to locate the burial sites for as many of that family as is possible.

I am going to try and call the Moscow cemetery offices and see if they can tell me what others of this family are buried there. I am thinking that some are there but, like Mary and Marcus, the markers are either no longer visialbe or were never there to begin with. I do have information coming from someone in the family that may tell me who all is there too, so I'll probbly wait until I get that information.

Once again, thanks very much for checking.

Henry Weeks

Thank you for fulfilling my request for Henry, appreciate the additional information on him also. I'm looking into his birth date but thinking it should be 1925. I'll let the person who made the memorial know if I can prove that is really is wrong.

Thanks again,
