Ephraim Whitener #132731812
Hi, I was just looking at the edit you sent for this man. A Whitener descendent asked me to ask you where you got your information for his birth year and death date. She is the one who gave me the info for his page. Thank you for your time and willingness to help complete his page.

Sincerely, Vickie

My pleasure. I love finding bits and pieces in hopes that it will help someone find the big picture.

How very kind of you! Yes, Richard is my maternal great uncle and I'd love the transfer:) The other 2 you have (Catherine & Vivian) are related by marriage but not direct ancestors - Catherine was married to Richard and Vivian to Daniel Lorello. No need to transfer those. Thanks so much for Richard's transfer.....if you ever need anything in our area, please don't hesitate to ask! Julie

RE: William Chambers - Tabernacle
It is no problem at all. I do feel as though I have found where he is buried since his family has a family plot. The problem is that only a very few of the graves are legible. There is also a section where it almost seems as though a gravestone used to be but is no longer. So unfortunately there might not be a gravestone to find. I took individual pictures of each stone in the family plot if you would like them I would be more then willing to provide them.

RE: Weda M
Thank you! I accidentally found her while looking for another grave in this cemetery today. I had the pleasure to have her for Freshman English in '87. She was one of the best teachers I ever had and I was compelled to go get a rose for her as it appeared that no one had visited or tended to her grave. No trinkets, adornments or planted flowers made me sad. She had found out that my brother passed away several years afterwards and sent me a card letting me know that she put him on a prayer list at Blue Army Shrine. She also sponsored me to walk in the Out of the Darkness walk for suicide prevention. She was an amazing lady.

Hi. Would you please correct the spelling of the last name on this one? It is missing the e at the end. Also, her burial is not unknown. She is in the Sts. Philip and James Cemetery, Greenwich Township, Warren County, NJ. I will add the GPS coordinates when I go out again. Thank you.

You're quite welcome. When I told my friend at the cemetery that I had nine names to look up he almost threw me out of the office !

Thanks for correcting the Phillipsburg for me. It's easy to assume that in an obit. if the state isn't mentioned then it's the state that the newspaper is located. Too many people just blindly add the info with out proof reading the request.
I notice that you too have discovered how to widen the work space on a memorial. It works with the tilde character also. Thanks again.

One side had Mary's sister and Mary's daughter. It looks like the sister died in childbirth. Maybe her daughter was raised by the Smiths?

Is the last name spelled Cheesman or Cheeseman
There are stones in the same lots 21 & 22 with both spellings.
