|kir||Burruss Family Cemetery|
Although your competitor, Todd Whitesides'(#47553735)work slightly precedes yours, your work on this cemetery is better and more comprehensive. The correct name for this cemetery is The Burruss Family Cemetery, as you have it labelled. I suggest that you contact him or Find A Grave to have his duplicate cemetery, Broad Plains Cemetery (2436963)deleted in order to avoid confusion.

|E Johnson||RE: Our family knows you|
Wow, thanks for getting back to me! It's great to know I puzzled this one out correctly.
I don't know where you mean for me to leave you another message (is there a URL?). If it's on Ancestry, I am not a subscriber and would need a direct invitation.
I would love to share a little bit more info if you want, such as the first name of your father. It's nice to get things lined up as best we can. Please just email me? firstname.lastname@example.org
My cousin Dale, who's been in contact with our cousin Leland for years, will also be pleased to know that we finally got Linden Shapley's 'granddaughter' (as Leland remembered) figured out. Leland is still sharing info with Dale whenever they get in touch. He called her a couple of days ago (her birthday), and apparently is still very sharp-minded.
Meanwhile, what can I do for you concerning the Shapleys or the Holtens (my people)? Please email when you can.

Thank you for your contributions to Findagrave.
I'm Liz J, another Findagrave contributor. I think a cousin of mine, Leland Shapley, who is now 89 years old remembers you. He thought you were a granddaughter of Linden Pennel Shapley and his wife Mary Alice Belcher.
Here's what happened with Linden Pennell Shapley. He is with an apparent first wife Mary in 1930. This Mary was born in 1914, in Kansas, and was in Delaware in 1935 or earlier. This Mary appears only in the 1940 census.
Mary Alice Belcher was born in Kentucky, in 1912, and you have her linked with second husband Linden P Shapley. I think your mother Mattie1 (a Findagrave contributor) is a child of Mary Alice Belcher and first husband Hurshell Wilson Winters.
If I have this right, or not-right, could you let me know? email@example.com.
Also, if this message bothers you, I think I'd be able to delete it.
Thanks so much,

Mary, I had not gotten any feedback. My grandparents are not listed in the findagrave database among the buried there, but I recognize the cemetery from the photos (we visited the cemetery in the mid 1980s with my parents, now deceased, and lost all directions on how to get there.) Also, some of my grandparents' friends from Woodford are listed as interred in this cemetery (Saints Cyril and Methodius spread the faith to the Slovaks, so this has to be it!) We will make a trip down to the cemetery, an hour or 90 minutes away, find the grave, put flowers out and take photos. Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for transferring the Ramers to me. I truly appreciate all you've done to help people like me that are so far away from the actual grave and would not be able to see the grave in person.

|Bonnie Poyer||Mary Belcher Winters Shapley|
I remember Mary. She was my grandmother's sister. My grandmother was Florence Belcher Lambert. I remember Mary as beautiful with dark hair and sparkling eyes. I remember Lurlene and Charles and visiting their house and playing dominoes with Charles and Mary with her big blueprints. I have just gotten into genealogy and am trying to find the ancestors of Samantha Helen Leslie. All I have found is that her mother, Nancy Vinson Justice Leslie's mother might be Lydia Shockey. Do you know any more than that? I lived in Ashland, KY until we moved to California in 1956.
I live in California.

you seem to be a very knowledgeable person and I saw that you had a photo request for Henson Blankenship who is buried at the Blankenship Cemetery in Catlettsburg, Boyd County, Kentucky. I looked for this cemetery online and could find no information for it other than findagrave. Do you know anything about it? Specifically, I'm trying to find the actual address of it's location.... any help would be appreciated.
THANK YOU!!! and keep up your great work here!

I cannot upload any pix of grave because we do not know where he is.
Although, I went to town hall and I do have a cemetery record for him.
If you would email me at email@example.com, I will be happy to forward the record to you.

Thank you so much for transferring the memorials. Yes I can understand how you felt you were in a foreign country. John and Theresa never learned to speak English although they came to the U.S. in 1907. I don't know if the little chapel is still at the cemetery, but after the funeral I attended there was an old fashioned Slovakian wake. I would have loved to have had the time to walk through the cemetery. Thank you again for your help.

|Little Marie||Antioch Christian Church|
I saw that you are the contributor who added the photo of Antioch Christian Church. I am trying to find out about the history of that church. Is the present day church at the same location as the other 2 that burned? Do you know anything about this church or do you know any local historians who could tell me about it? I plan on making a trip to Bowling Green some time this year but would like to know as much as possible before I travel. Thanks Little Marie

Thanks for making the link to May and Daniel. May's real first name is Mabel, but she went by May I suppose since that is on her stone.

I have noticed you found Victoria Gacek Burial:
Saint Cyril and Methodius Cemetery
I was wondering if you came across John Gacek her husband, born 1862? He passed away in the 1940's.
Their son name was Sgt. Patrick Harry Getek ( I have no clue why the name change but it did)
He is at the same cemetery. Her daughter, Victoria Getek Sinlock is there also.
Thanks for any info!
