Sam Houston Ivy
The Sam Houston Ivy who is the son of Binion Ivy is buried in Hill County, Texas, as is Binion and his wife Tressie.

Sam was original buried in DeGraffenreid Cemetery which was relocated by the Corps of Engineers to Whitney Cemetery (now Whitney Memorial Park) in 1950 when Lake Whitney was built. He was married to Mary Bell Reed. You will find his memorial on this website as well.

RE: Popes at Bend Cemetery
Rob,
Have transfered the memorials over to you for your care and upkeep. I feel that family members take better care of a memorial than strangers. I enjoyed visiting their graves while doing research at the church at the Bend and never miss an opportunity to record a grave site that someone might be looking for. Glad I was there.

RE: Thank You
Dear Robert,
What a lovely surprise to find your nice message this morning. Thank you so much for your kind words. It's always a pleasure to be thanked for what I do. I've been a graver for many years and enjoy every cemetery I visit and photograph.

BTW I am young at heart. 43. I get alot of exercise walking and photographing. :-)

Have a great day
Judy

RE: Callie Currie
My pleasure, no thanks necessary. I did have a great many memorials created and linked, but was informed by the Houston County Historical Society that they were duplicates, so I was forced to delete them. Now, the only way anyone will be able to get this information to our various lines is if they have access to ancestry.com.

I was saddened to have to delete them, but Findagrave does not appreciate duplicates and I wanted to maintain my privileges as a contributor.

Thanks!
Cissy

RE: YOUR VERY SPECIAL
Thank you for your kind words. They are always nice to hear, but I am no way special. These men and women that I work with and for everyday are the special ones.

If you would like me to transfer your friend to you let me know his name and Find A Grave registration number. I would be glad to do that as you probably have photos and stories to share. Those are the things I do not have but would love to read and see.

Thank you for your service and it is a pleasure to meet you, even if it is in the impersonal way.

Pam
