Hello Jillanita, My name is Rose this gentleman was my great great grandfather, of whom I never met. I am in search of finding the Potts family which was my mother's side of the family. I happen to come across this and was just overwhelmed with gratefulness. Thank you so very much for taking this picture, it's people like you that bless those who are in search of their loved ones. God Bless you.

Sincere Thanks

Please invert the gravemarker photo, it is hard to read upside down.

Thanks for the photo marker. Sid Armstrong was an interesting person at Tabernacle ARP church. He was always well liked by all. His sister RUTH was also a favorite.

RE: entry for Clyde Prather
I appreciate your answer to my email. Yes, I would appreciate knowing if he was living at a Home nearby. I really don't know what happened to him, in fact I didn't know he lived as long as he did. I am related to his mother, Samantha, whose name was actually Rinehart, not Earnhardt. Our family thought Clyde died. My great-aunt, who was Samantha's sister, said when Samantha died young, Clyde was living with his father's family. She visited him at least once, said he seemed "off", so I'm not surprised that he ended up in a Home. It wasn't until I started working on the genealogy on Ancestry.com that I found his death listed. If you want to check on where he was living, I would really appreciate that, it's very good of you.

entry for Clyde Prather
Hi. I was looking at your entry for Clyde Prather, Charlotte, Evergreen Cemetery. I think he is my great-uncle. Clyde's mother was Samantha Rinehart, not Everhardt as you stated. She died in 1913, not long after he was born, & no one in our Rinehart family ever knew what happened to Clyde. My great-aunt told me she saw him just once, and he seemed retarded. I only recently found him listed at the SC Hospital for the Insane in Columbia, SC in 1930. I suspect he was not insane, but my aunt said there was something wrong about him. I was wondering if you knew where he was living in Charlotte before he died, it was probably an institution, I don't think he could've survived on his own. I was wondering how you found out his parents' names, was it on his death certificate? I couldn't find it on Ancestry.com. Thanks for any help you can give. Jennie Rhinehart

RE: Floyd Boyce
How very special that you took time to stop and send these photos so that I could receive them on Memorial Day. I appreciate it very much. I am not a direct connection; but I have forwarded the link and your message to one of his children. She lives in Charleston and has never been to his grave so I know she is thankful as well. Thank you both very much.
