Tina, Iwant to write bios for these distant relatives of mine. Also, how many graves have you done in Independence? I want to do a project on this cemetery where we do bios and get pictures of as many people as we can.

Thanks,
Pamela Marcum

Please Advise
Going back through my Find A Grave request I note that I have submitted several to you, some multiple times, and the memorials remain without the submitted updates.

Would it help if I simply requested transfers and I will be happy to effect the changes.

Thanks in advance, Don

Ella Taliaferro, 1861-1955, Kentucky
Hello, all. This may seem really weird, but I'm an antiques collector and bought something at an auction in Cambridge, Wisconsin recently that is addressed to Mrs. E. Taliaferro in Visalis, Kentucky.

The item I bought is a small envelope postmarked 1890 which contains a lock of long hair. In a box which I bought along with the envelope is more hair that appears to match, this time two long braids. If you're not familiar with the Victorian era and their obsession with death, this isn't unusual for those times. This hair was likely intended to be made into mourning jewelry, but never made it past the small envelope.

So...if there are descendents out there of Mrs. Ella Taliaferro and you'd like this family treasure (albeit a bit morbid, perhaps) please contact me and I'll send it to you. If someone found an item like this that belonged to my ancestors, I would want it :)
