Everything you said is against Find a Grave rules. You cannot make a duplicate just bc someone won't turn a memorial over to you. Please read the rules and it will tell you what to do when someone who is not related will not relinquish a memorial. Also, you do not have to be related to someone to make a memorial.

RE: CHARLES BLACKBURN
I DO APPRECIATE YOU RELINQUISHING IT.

AS FOR WHERE IT IS, IT TOOK A LITTLE SEARCHING.

FIRST I SEARCHED BETWEEN MONCURE SCHOOL AND THE WATER TOWER AND FOUND NOTHING.

I DID HAVE A LIST OF CEMETERIES FROM THE COUNTY AND IT SAID THE GRAVEYARD WAS RIGHT BEHIND JIFFY LUBE.
WELL I PULLED AROUND BACK AND ASKED IF THEY KNEW OF A CEMETERY NEAR BY AND I WAS TOLD NO. I ASKED IF I COULD PARK MY CAR AND LOOK AROUND, AND THEY SAID YES SO I STARTED ASKING WHAT WAS IN THE FENCED AREA RIGHT BEHIND THEM AND THEY SAID NOTHING. WELL I CLIMBED THE HILL AND LOOKED IN AND THE WAS THE CEMETERY. SHORT STORY MADE LONG.

IF YOU GO TO VISIT, EITHER PULL INTO JIFFY LUBE AND SEE IF YOU CAN PARK OR GO NEXT STORE TO I THINK IT AMMERICAN SERVICE CENTER AND GO TO THE BACK OF THEIR PARKING LOT AND YOU WILL SEE THE GATE TO THE CEMETERY. BUT BE CAREFUL ITS A DANGEROUS WALK ON 6X6 BOARDS TO GET TO THE GATE.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP AND HAVE FUN

IS THERE ANY CHANCE YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO RELINQUISH YOUR CLAIM FOR HIM. I ALREADY HAVE ALL THE NECESSARY PICS AND THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE FOR MY BENEFIT.

YOUR HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

RE: george spindel
I actually had to excavate his and his wife Helen's markers. His marker is offset "sunken" 6 inches on the right. The area appeared to have a gopher problem that would have caused this. This is odd for this cemetery for a site to get to this condition, I carry excavating tools for other cemeteries I visit. I would suggest placing another request of repair to reset his marker stone.

Trawest, You are very welcome.I live in Las Vegas, and was down in Alabama visiting my Mother,Step-Father,Brother Jim and his wife for Thanksgiving. While we were at the Dadeville City Cemetery visiting my GrandMother's Gravesite I decided to also get photos of some other Headstone/Markers and create Memorial Pages for them if there was not one in the Find A Grave System. All of our deceased relatives and decendants need to be remembered and honored.

Best Regards,"J.R"

You're welcome.

I love getting requests for older grave markers but more often than not they're either modern replacements or non-existent.

RE: George W
You're welcome. I also have gravestone photos for Lida Cooley, Sophia Cooley, Zoe Cooley, a Sophia Notestein that was next to Zoe, and a Dorothy Mae Cooley Suiter that was one more row further below Zoe & Sophia. Unfortunately, there are no Find A Grave memorials for these people, so I couldn't post them.
If there is anything you would like me to do with these, let me know.

Lakewood Cemetery
Lakewood is huge - 17,000 or so sites but they are organized. Perhaps this answers your question about who's in the area. We have snow cover and it's still cold in Minnesota.

RE: Peter Kennedy
I will run into town tomorrow and go by the genealogy library and do some more searching. I will let you know if I find anything :)
Could his wife, Annie, have remarried or anything? I will check on her too. Do you by chance know her maiden name or any dates? Did they get married in Wagoner?

I will be going back to the cemetery. There are a couple of new requests that I would like to fulfill. I'm happy to look one more time for your relatives markers.

I don't need to be hired outside of Find A Grave. haha Thank you for the offer though. I truly enjoy my time researching for others and providing information that one could otherwise acquire if they were local.

Thank you!
Mark

Mary E. Griffis
Good morning-
I went out to photograph MARY GRIFFIS and found MARY E. GRIFFIS as well so I took both pictures to make sure I had the right one. I didn't realize until I got home that you had "claimed" Mary E. Would you like me to post her headstone picture and save you a bit of time?

RE: Nancy Mogle
I am not sure. It is possible it is buried because I had to pull a bunch of grass back to uncover his. I will e-mail Joan in the cemetery office and find out. She has said she does often see when the first spouse dies a marker is purchased but that when the 2nd spouse passes often one is not purchased. She will know which it is.
