Ida Lee Brewer Cann
Mehetable Vance Conn #93833985
Debera:

I have transferred the site for Mehetable Vance Conn #93833985 to you. She is one of 20 children born to William and Rachel Mintun Vance, my gg-grandparents. I descend from her brother, William F. Vance. Seventeen of the 20 children grew to adulthood. I think there are Find A Grave sites for the 17 children. I have visited the New Market Cemetery many times, but I have never been able to locate a gravemarker for Mehetable or her husband, William Conn.

Take care.

Hilda
Went looking for Hilda Pestana today. The only Pestana I found was another young one near the fence by Makawao Avenue, but the dates were wrong. Can look again next week.

You are very welcome. The weather was beautiful today and decided to get this for you. I had a photo earlier but it was blurry so had to wait for the weather. Take care!

RE: Lethco
Not unless they are in an unmarked grave. I did find where Eliza Jane Lethco is living with James Henry Lethco's family in the 1900 Census as a widow. They are living in Lincoln County, NC. The 1910 Census has them living in Gaston County and Eliza Jane Lethco is not with them. I did find a Death Certificate on a Eliza Jane Lethco and it has her buried in Gaston County. I feel sure it is her since James Henry Lethco's Death Certificate states his mother's maiden name was Bird and on Eliza Janes's Death Certificate gives her father as Thomas Bird, place of birth Virginia and Elizabeth Morris, place of birth Virginia. I assume she was living when James Henry moved to Gaston County and she died before they moved back to Lincoln County, so he had her buried in Gaston County.

Debera,
I am sorry, I can't do any linking until we get Everyone in the right cemetery, they merged William to the Lynchburg Masonic and he is in the Lynchburg F & AM. Please remind me again when it is corrected. Thank You

RE: Birds
I don't know if you are from or live in Lincoln County, but from my research of church cemeteries, back in the 1800's and early 1900's, if they lived in the area, that is where they went to church and were buried. Like Thomas Jerome Byrd, he probably worked in a mill in the Southside area, so that is where he went to church and was buried. Salem Baptist older burials are mostly from the High Shoals area which is half in Lincoln County and the other half in Gaston County. Some are from Hardin and a few from Dallas.
I wish you success in finding your relatives and if I can help, let me know.

Thomas Jerome Byrd
There is a Thomas Jerome Byrd buried in Southside Baptist Church Cemetery who was the son of William and Elizabeth Cooper Byrd. Could this be the William and Elizabeth you are looking for?

Bird/Byrd
Is it possible they changed the spelling from Bird to Byrd? If they did, there is a few Byrd's in Southside Baptist and Salem Baptist with photo's on their memorials. They are not the ones you are looking for, but maybe they are related.

Birds
I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but there are no Birds buried in Southside Baptist Church Cemetery or Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. I re-transcribed both of these cemeteries last summer and took photo's of all who had grave monuments. Below is a link to all the cemeteries that have been transcribed in Lincoln County. Maybe you could look through them to see if you can find your family.

William Brewer, Lynchburg, Ohio Masonic cemetery
Highland Co. Lynchburg Masonic cemetery is the wrong place for this memorial. Please move it to the Lynchburg F & AM cemetery on Rt. 134. See my picture, I was in the F & AM cemetery when I took it. When you move your memorial, I will delete my duplicate, that is in the right cemetery. Thank You. EVERYONE has mixed these cemeteries up because they are named the same in obituaries. I am sorry to be bothering you so much. I did the same thing to a lot of my memorials and lost them to someone else because I didn't know there were duplicate cemeteries. It was a lot of work for nothing.

Olive Brewer memorial Lynchburg Masonic cemetery
This memorial has been placed in the wrong cemetery. Please move it to the Lynchburg F & AM Masonic cemetery AKA "NEW" Lynchburg Masonic on 134, not the old one on High St. where you have it placed. "SEE my picture" I was in the F & AM.
