Hi Jane, I've placed a photo on both of the memorials for Marshal for the time being. One of them will be deleted (this cemetery has gfinally been merged and I am working on eliminating all the dupes).

Jane: The triangular shaped piece left of the headstone that I originally thought belonged to John Beath probably belongs to someone else. I did go ahead and upload it to John's memorial, just in case, but I made a note that it likely wasn't his. You probably found my other note on his memorial that there were two very small rectangular concrete pieces in the Beath plot; one simply had J.B. on it, and the one next to it had M.B. Perhaps John Beath and his wife? As you saw, the cemetery was very old and I'm guessing that these small blocks replaced original headstones that were damaged badly or vandalized. I did search the entire cemetery looking for John, and he wasn't anywhere else.

This biography might be of interest to you. It states that Josiah was buried in the Mexico Village Cemetery if in fact this is the Josiah Alexander you are looking for. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nyoswego/biographies/alexhagar.html#alexander/hagar
Hope that this helps.

Yes, it appears he is in an unmarked grave. Lot 116 is one of the few in the cemetery that still has the lot marker so I know I was at the right place. Don
