A permanent marker is now at the grave of John Bell. I've uploaded a photo to his page.

Sarah Elizabeth Isgrigg
Hi Perry,

Are you by chance related to Sarah Elizabeth Isgrigg who married Alexander Hamilton Birchfield? Sarah was my ggg grandmothers sister. You posted a wonderful photo of her on her memorial page - thank you so much for sharing that!! The sisters look very much alike. Please contact me if you are related.

Thanks again,
Karyn

RE: John Bell
You're welcome. I go by this cemetery quite regularly and John Bell's spot is close to the road. I'll keep an eye out for the permanent stone and update the photos when it shows.

James D and Peggy Thompson Graves site
I have another request. On the gravestone for James D Graves and Peggy Thompson Graves in Houston, the wedding date is on the tombstone, but I cannot read it to use it. Would you please add that inscription to the website; if it is there, that can be used by genealogists instead of a marriage license. They were married on July 7, 1946 according to the info that I have.

RE: Sarah Frances Baker
I think that I have located what I needed. James H Baker and Sarah Frances Hancock Baker are both proven patriots in the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. That source established the birth and death date of James H Baker and established that Sarah was indeed a Hancock. Sarah's maiden name is also on John Winston Baker's death certificate. I also found support in The New Handbook of Texas(1996 edition) for some of those same facts. With this line, your cousin has four patriots for the DRT. You might want to add the newspaper credit on Peggy Joyce Thompson Graves' Find-A-Grave site so that the information can be used in genealogy work. Thanks for your help; have enjoyed corresponding with you.

Sarah Frances Baker
Perry, I am still trying to help your cousin Margaret Graves connect the dots for DAR. I can't prove that the Frances Baker on the 1850 census is Sarah Frances Hancock. I have looked for a marriage license for them, but I can't find it. Do you have any proof that I could use for her?

The lady that I am helping is Margaret Graves. She told me that the two of you have been in contact before.

Actually, I could use a picture of John Winston Baker and Mary Elizabeth Wood's tombstone. I noticed that you were the great grandson of this couple. The lady that I am helping is the great great granddaughter of John Baker and Mary Wood.
Is there a tombstone in Washington for them?

Do you know where your ancestors are buried? I need a picture of the tombstone to help prove a lineage in this family.

Thanks for you appreciation. We just happened to notice his marker across the road from the main cemetery. I did a little more research than usual when I add a memorial. I'm glad it is appreciated.
Regards and thanks for your work for findagrave.

I grew up in Lovington, and I don't know of anyone who did not like him. He was very well respected, and I am so glad that I was in school when he was there.

I have linked Ross Black to his parents. Thanks for the information and Find A Grave numbers for them. It is always good when we can make connections to relatives, I think. It is interesting that some never get far from "home".

Coastal Dweller
Hi, Perry
So nice to "bump into" you on Find a Grave. This is Troy Hicks' daughter writing. I was just visiting the memorial you set up for my dad's first cousin once removed, Forrest Worthington Coburn, when I saw your name on it. My dad's paternal grandmother was Alma Eva Coburn.

My dad passed away just before Christmas last year, age 90. I want you to know how much pleasure your wonderful poems gave him, and thank you many times over for your kindness.

Best wishes for a very happy 2014. May you and yours enjoy health, happiness and prosperity, now and forever.

Warm regards,

"Coastal Dweller"
