Memorial Photos
Alice, I was wondering if you have any photos of the Raymer graves. I am specifically looking for photos of the children of James Coleman Raymer. By the way, if you ever decide to write a book with all the history you have found, I would love to buy a copy from you! Thanks!

Spring Hill Cemetery
As you have probley seen there are over 139 requests that have not as yet gotten fullfilled and they may not either if the requestors dont call the Spring Hill office for the locations .
So you may have to delete the original request and do over by calling the Cemetery office for location of your familys interment for pic takers to actually get the pics for you.

I suggest you may have to call the Funeral Home Office and ask for the locations of any of your loved ones . And then put the location section in the request so the people who go to take pics wont have to go to the office to ask for the locations .
615-865-1101

The last times I went to ask for locations , the people in the office there said, they would have to charge non family members 5 dollars to look up locations, because they were much too busy helping the family members of interments .
Good luck in your Ancestry searches.

Kathy

RE: Sam W. & Sarah Raymer
You are very welcome....I also contacted the contributor of Sam's memorial to inform them that he is in the same cemetery as Sarah as he is currently listed as being at the Hackney Cemetery in Southport.

His memorial #80125981 looks very clear to me with dates. I appreciate the information as now I have linked him to his parents. Are any of the other Jackson's their children that I have in Antioch? Thanks so much, geraldine

Grave of Sarah Raymer
Hello,
I am sorry, but I was unable to locate the grave of Sarah Mayes Raymer at the Mayes Cemetery. It is not a large cemetery and I am sorry if I overlooked it but I checked each stone. Thanks, Danny

Photos in Spring Hill
Alice,
Thank you for the clue I needed to find Louise and William Adams. I had been unable to find them as the cemetery needed death dates to look up their grave site. I went back to her parents grave site and she is, in fact, right next to them.
Thank you again,
Natalie

Hi
Ok I remember now but I had something wrong with my putor also during that time and lost some of my stuff in my emails and I dont have alot of my Findagrave things I kept there , yours being some also do you still have the locations of the names and a map to show who they would be by in their sections because that is the only way I would be able to find the headstones .

Spring Hill Cemetery Requests
Hi ,
I am usually one of the persons that would go and take pic requests for the Spring Hill Cemetery interments here in Madison Tenn, but I cant , unless you were to call their main office and talk to a member of the family service department ,his name is Thomas, dont remember his last name , anyway he told me the last time in May when I was last bringing in names for location requests , that he would have to charge me 5 dollars if I was not a relative of the people's names I brought in . So if you were to call and ask for the locations of your requests he would not ask for any money . I am assuming he would give the location to you and then you could put that location in the requests you have asked for . Then some one who takes up the requests would hopefully be able to take the pics for you.
As there are over 52 requests , me or someone else ,has not been able to find where the interments are located because of them either being in historical ground there and most are on flat headstones or there may also not be any headstones to see too.

Fulfilled Photo Requests
Alice, it was my pleasure to take the photos for you! I also searched for Robert Hardison, but the temp was approaching 98 degrees and we had to give-up. That cemetery is HUGE. Best wishes. Carla

RE: Photo Requests
Hi Alice - I am not sure if we share the same relatives. I have a few family memorials on Find A Grave but most of the memorials I have created are for those that are buried in cemeteries here in El Paso. But if, we are.....what surnames? I am thinking that you might be looking at my Virtual Cemeteries. Is this where you saw a possible connection? Thank you - Laurel

RE: Photo Requests
Hi Alice - You are welcome for the photos so far. Once your photo request option is available again later this week, go ahead and place the request for Margie Pender, wife of James, and I will place both photos up at the same time.

Regarding the whereabouts of Barbara Watkins husband...several scenarios come to mind.

- He is still alive.

If you know for sure he has passed....

- Buried in a family plot somewhere if he was from a prominent family or a family that had pre-paid plots bought a long time ago. The VA will have this info ONLY if it was submitted to them. Find A Grave does not list burials for everyone. Only where volunteers have entered the information.

- He died elsewhere and they buried him there in a another military cemetery. If you have not checked the VA gravesite website, look there. There may have been no money to ship him back to El Paso to be with Barbara.

- Cremated and asked for ashes to be scattered someplace.

- They were divorced and she did not remarry. Certain VA rules allow a burial for an ex-spouse.

- James remarried and the children did not object to him being buried with 2nd wife. Rare that this would happen because the children usually fight tooth and nail to have the parents together.

Gosh, those are just a few reasons, off the top of my head. IF you have a dob for James, you can look in the SS death index to see if he appears there. Maybe the last place he received benefits will give you a clue.
