RE: PFC Gordon Dean Perry photo
I am in East Oak Grove frequently. I'll stop back by in a week or so (after the weather breaks.....snow storm coming in) & look on the other side of the stone. I will remember where it is because most of the Perrys are in a separate plot & I was excited to finally find Gordon. I thought on the way out that I should have gotten a photo of the face of that statue!

Thanks for your note.

Clayton D Payne
Clayton D Payne is buried in the Watertown Cemetery. On his find-a-grave it says his parents are William and Alice Wilson Payne. I have been trying to find another wife for a William F Payne's Father of Clayton and this is the first time I have seen Alice Wilson Payne's name. I called information and they have no listing for Watertown Cemetery. Can you tell me where you found that information about Clayton's parents? Also is Watertown Cemetery very big who do you think would have the records?

Thanks for all you do
Doreen

Old Barker (Goodman) cemetery
Anna,
I have tried to locate this cemetery several times when I am in Ohio. I guess I am missing something.
Any hints for someone that is not familiar with the area?

Also, would you consider transferring any of my Racer ancestors to me that are in the Old Barker cemetery. It would be easier to add information to them. Mary and Benjamin are ggggrandparents.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks so much for all your efforts.

James Mullen
Anna, thank you for all you do!
I'm tried to find the grave site of James Mullen in Barker Cemetery in Lower Newport, Ohio with no success. I've since found that there is an older Barker Cemetery located close by near the Ohio River. I haven't had a chance to check it out, but county officials say it's possible James could be buried at the old cemetery. I will let you know.

By the way, the GPS coordinates listed for the Barker Cemetery are incorrect. N 39 21.381 and W081 20.580 are the correct ones. I will let you know if If ind his grave. I'm working with Washington County, Ohio officials but they don't hold out much hope because their records do no go back that far, and are not computerized.

All the best,

Thanks so much for taking the time to help. I now have burial sites for over 52,000 of those who died in Vietnam. I like you spend a lot of time walking thru cemeteries.
Thanks.

I am trying to find the burial site for this man who died in Vietnam. The WV vet database and his application for military headstone both say he was buried in Spring Hill Cemetery,Charleston,WV.
You have him in Riverview cemetery. Could you get a photo of his grave stone so we are sure where he is buried. Also any help in resolving this issue is appreciated (was he moved?).

RE: Oscar Arthur Keefover #70758243
Yes, it is my assumption that his parents are John L Summers & Della Glover but I've not found any proof (birth, death, marriage) etc. Another Find A Grave volunteer seems to think that John L was instead his brother - it is barely possible but I don't think so and I'm awaiting his 'proof'. If you are a relative please visit my website Our Family Saga. FYI - I am a Summers descendant.

RE: re: Nancy McAllister (1831 - 1865)
There were three Nancy McAllisters. The one I requested transfer of was born in Conn, married in March 1790 at upper NH, had 12 documented children and died a widow of 47 years.

The 2nd Nancy was her dau., born in upper NH, the wife of William Warren, Jr., and died at Marietta in 1857. [6756721]

A 3rd Nancy died in 1852 and is buried at Washington County Home Cemetery. [17608876] By process of elimination this Nancy was probably born circa 1836 the dau. of David McAllister and his wife Hannah. She only appears by name in the 1850 census at Washington County. Her father David McAllister and a similar aged David McAllister, latter who never left Vermont, are McAllister enigmas that I hope to soon solve.

This may be my great-great grandfather. The date of death matches. My records show he had a son, John J Mullen born sept 4, 1823. and that he was married to Sarah Rowland (born near 1791 in Maryland)
Are you descendants of James?

Thanks so much for adding Patsy to this site. I have posted some new pics and was wondering if you could delete the old grave site pic as the new one is far more suited. Patsy Dawn was a joy in life and is dearly missed. Many thanks, Jessica

Jewels Verne
Joseph Zoller, St. Francis Xavier Cemetery -pburg
Anna, I may have asked you this before, but I can't seem to recall. Did Joseph's headstone have any other information on it on the other sides - like for his spouse - Anna Schudel or other? I have been trying to contact the church myself but it is always always busy. Since Anna and Joseph were older when they married, it is possible that there is another Zoller buried there and Anna possibly someplace else with her first husband - just a hunch. Are there any other Zoller's buried there?

RE: Dr. Perley Isaac Reed
Thanks Anna,

The Reed family is part of my wife's ancestry and I am the family history "geek". I also was contacted through Ancestry by some one who was a childhood acquaintence of Judson Reed and has been looking for him for years. This raised the "mystery" aspect for me and I have tried to help them besides filling out my family tree. The remaining family is his sister and her descendants who live in Wheeling West Virginia and they don't know what happened to him either. Thanks.

Dr. Perley Isaac Reed
Hi Anna,

I found your memorial page for Perley Isaac Reed and found it very useful in my research. I would be very interested in any info about his immediate family especially his son Judson Wardlaw Reed who seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth after his enlistment in the military in 1942.
