|Tina ||Herman Ashley|
Hi Anna, my name is Tina, and I'm the great granddaughter of Herman Ashley b.1-18-1905, d.2-1973, and his second wife was Mary Elizabeth Tucker Ashley. Their son Herman Ashley Jr. is working on this tree with me and I sent him this info when I search their names. He explained to me that Herman is buried in Ohio, and Mary's body was donated to a hospital in Ohio, then was cremated. So we're kind of confused about them being buried in W.V. Herman Jr. is sending me info on Herman Sr. Buried in Williamsburg, Ohio.

I remembered I said I'd go back and get a photo of the military marker. I did that yesterday and posted a photo of that and the front the marker.

Thanks for the reply, Anna!
I'm having the same problem.
I found a document from about 1961 that they had written everything readable on the stones at the old Barker Cemetery. Nothing looked like any part of James Mullen, so I fear you are correct. I'm also told by local officials that it'd located in a flood plane that's flooded many times over the years and some stones and actual graves have been washed away.
If I ever find anything I will let you know. Again, thanks for all that you do! Jim Mullen

Anna, I've messaged you before about James Mullen (1797 - 1824 about the location of his grave. I've since learned (or at least people have told me the the new Barker Cemetery where he is listed wasn't began until after James had died, and that he was likely buried in the old Barker cemetery down by the river. Do you have any info on this/ also I can't find any info concerning his Parents. He lived such a short time here are few records available to me. Do you any info on him? He is my Great-great Grandfather. When He died he left a widow and children ages 1,2,and 3.The 1 yr old was John J. Mullen and my Great-Grandfather.
Thank you, Anna, for all that you do in this great cause!! All the best, Jim Mullen Parkersburg, WV

Yes that is who I am looking for. My son is law if from Christian brother George Sinsley. Always though Mary died young till now. Also wanted to say that Marvin and Edna Hockensmith had a son Stanley Clinton Hockensmith born 7 Apr 1916 in Irwin PA and died 19 Feb 1918 in North Braddock, Allegheny co PA. He is buried in Irwin Union Cemetery in Irwin PA. Haven't been able to find him in that cemetery but according to his death certificate from Ancestry that is where he is buried. Could you attach to the children you already have?
Are you related to this family or just being VERY helpful?

My mother (a relative) used to correspond to one of her sons (Christopher) in the beginning of the 1970. I know that he died in 1973.
I think that Christopher had a brother called Jim or James.
I don`t know if you could help me. But I would like to get in contact with his brother if he still is alive.
Do you know how to find his brother?

Mary Mollie Wisotzky. I am wondering if you are the one who added Parents Christian Sinsley and Lucinda Wigal or if you weren't could you tell me who did. I am helping my son in law do his Sinsley family and we were never able to locate his great great aunt Mary. Maybe this is her. Thank you for you help.

Exactly what I'm doing too. I've been transferring all of my memorials to findagrave.. let them deal with the nuts. I understand now why Gia was using my login to add memorials.
It is awesome to contribute information but not so much when the "apples" come out.

I am looking for info on Jane Dare born 1784 and died 1812. Did she fight in the Revolutionary War? was she a nurse? Why is she buried in Mound Cemetary?
My maiden name is Dare. I am very interested in finding information on my ancestry. Can you tell me who her parents were?

Hi, I was wondering if you are related to George William Malone #111633075 or his wife, Prussia Ellen Gault #111633058? I am related to both of them as my great grandparents were their siblings, John Calvin & Amanda Gault Malone. If you are, I would love to share info with you! I have added a few pictures. Thank you for creating their memorials!

I was wondering if you would transfer this one to me. Warden and Martha are good friends of mine from when I was a kid. Only if he is not in your direct line. Thanks very much for your time.

Can you add #94434718 Veda Michael Cornwell and
#72011322 James Chester Michael as children of
#76163793 Nelson Lee Michael and
#75702319 Stella May Wetzel Michael
Nelson is my great grandfather. He has one daughter Basha Bernice Michael Pringle and I can't find her anywhere. You wouldn't happen to know about her. I believe she died in 1971 in Marion County WV.

You have compiled the most data for this Family Group so you should manage them. Be sure to check for duplication. I could not find memorials for these family members but that doesn't mean they don't exist. ~ Jack
checking to see why you transferred the five (5) Feather memorials to me? I did not ask for the transfers so I was a bit confused when I received them. Let me know if you want them back or if I should keep them.

Would you kindly delete the "Find A Grave" memorial that you created for Michael Joseph McGee, Memorial #141331040. It is a duplicate of the one that I created for him on January 12, 2015 (Memorial #141254283).
Michael was my nephew (my sister's son), and he was like a little brother to me. I created his "Find A Grave" memorial just minutes after I learned of his passing, and I posted a photo of him in the hospital which was taken a little more than two months before his death.
Thanking you in advance.

Thank you Anna for such a quick reply. Been working on this all day and I think we now know it was Frederick. It's still a mystery where he was buried in 1829. That cemetery may have gone out of use by the time Anna died though.

Hello. I'm very much interested in your memorial to Anna from the Mason Cemetery. She was my 3rd great grandmother. Can you tell me what the inscription says? It's not clear from the picture. I was hoping it contained the name of her husband. One relative told me it was Frederick, but some new evidence has come up that it was John. In fact that new evidence was the statement from her son Alonzo. We are pursuing both names without much luck. Thanks. Bob Brown

I am in East Oak Grove frequently. I'll stop back by in a week or so (after the weather breaks.....snow storm coming in) & look on the other side of the stone. I will remember where it is because most of the Perrys are in a separate plot & I was excited to finally find Gordon. I thought on the way out that I should have gotten a photo of the face of that statue!
Thanks for your note.

|Doreen Furlong||Clayton D Payne|
Clayton D Payne is buried in the Watertown Cemetery. On his find-a-grave it says his parents are William and Alice Wilson Payne. I have been trying to find another wife for a William F Payne's Father of Clayton and this is the first time I have seen Alice Wilson Payne's name. I called information and they have no listing for Watertown Cemetery. Can you tell me where you found that information about Clayton's parents? Also is Watertown Cemetery very big who do you think would have the records?
Thanks for all you do

|D Rausch||Old Barker (Goodman) cemetery|
I have tried to locate this cemetery several times when I am in Ohio. I guess I am missing something.
Any hints for someone that is not familiar with the area?
Also, would you consider transferring any of my Racer ancestors to me that are in the Old Barker cemetery. It would be easier to add information to them. Mary and Benjamin are ggggrandparents.
I appreciate any help.
Thanks so much for all your efforts.

Anna, thank you for all you do!
I'm tried to find the grave site of James Mullen in Barker Cemetery in Lower Newport, Ohio with no success. I've since found that there is an older Barker Cemetery located close by near the Ohio River. I haven't had a chance to check it out, but county officials say it's possible James could be buried at the old cemetery. I will let you know.
By the way, the GPS coordinates listed for the Barker Cemetery are incorrect. N 39 21.381 and W081 20.580 are the correct ones. I will let you know if If ind his grave. I'm working with Washington County, Ohio officials but they don't hold out much hope because their records do no go back that far, and are not computerized.
All the best,

I am trying to find the burial site for this man who died in Vietnam. The WV vet database and his application for military headstone both say he was buried in Spring Hill Cemetery,Charleston,WV.
You have him in Riverview cemetery. Could you get a photo of his grave stone so we are sure where he is buried. Also any help in resolving this issue is appreciated (was he moved?).
