Hi Angie. I got your correction - it looks like Milford's spouse is correctly listed as Iris, but I don't have his mother's link. Thx, Barb

Hi Angie,

I am not able to delink Robert L. Johnson from his "wife", Lois Moriarity Johnson at Robert's memorial. Would you please contact Kathy Solem at Lois's memorial and make the request of her.

Thank you,

Linda Kay Rasmussen
Hi Angie,

I am having a problem with the edit for Linda Kay Rasmussen. If I use only her maiden name, her memorial shows up with no last name which is how all memorials are indexed. So I have decided to remove her maiden name and use only her last name. I believe you have provided enough information on her memorial page to explain her marital status and choice to use her maiden name as her last name. I just wanted to let you know why I have chosen to list Linda's memorial with her last name.

Keep on doing what you are doing with the edits. I really appreciate it.

Your email reads:

"Their suggestion:
-------------------------
Social Security Death Index shows Leland's year of birth as 1926. His grave stone also shows 1926."

Did you mean to write something else?

Thanks for catching that. I guess it must have been a typo on my part. I have now fixed it.

Ole Odland

Thank you for photographing Ole' grave marker and adding it onto his memorial page. With the help from you and your photo, the missing information on the memorial page could now be filled in.

I have informed the owner of the pages about the missing info.

I see that his wife' name is on the same stone. Would you please add the same photo onto hers.

Ole' wife' name is: Mary Olivia (Larson) Odland (#50479211).

Thank you,
Jim.

Both the Pollock stones are very old and broken, I don't have access to the records but there is no stone for an Anna Brown....but there is one in nearby Wynot. Do you know her dates?

Hi
fulfilled request for James Brown. There is an Anna S. Brown 1879-1963 there but I don't know if that is the one you mentioned.

Couple of Gravers
Robert Hamilton
Hi Angie,

Thank you for the information. I strongly suspect that both markers are for the same person. It was not uncommon for the family to create a memorial in their own cemetery plot, even though their loved one was not buried there.

I will create a link to the other page and add a note that this marker is probably a cenotaph, a tomb or a monument erected in honor of a person or group of persons whose remains are buried elsewhere.

Thanks again,

Chuck

RE: Robert Hamilton, Find A Grave Memorial# 38076788
Hi Angie,
It sounds as though both memorials are for the same person. I only transcribed the Chalmette National Cemetery for Find a Grave, so I do not know anything else about the soldier, but I do know that many times the families of soldiers buried at Chalmette (and other national cemeteries) would erect stones for them in their own family cemeteries. Often they did this because the national cemetery was too far away, but a marker in a family cemetery meant that they could still honor their loved one. This sounds like the case with your Robert Hamilton.
