Truman Benjamin "Ben" Howard
Hello, thank you for your wonderful blog, and all you're doing to honor the Yoo Hoo memory. I never saw your message on Ben Howard's FindAGrave page until just now, sorry, but I am his granddaughter. I would love to get in touch, and get my family involved too; I love the blog, and am going through it bit-by-bit now.

Thank you so much!

Hello. Thank you for your efforts at Find A Grave. I'm writing to ask for your permission to use your headstone photos of my family members with my public family tree at You and Find A Grave would be credited. The one I'm looking at is for William Cleveland (No. 69057917), but there might be others. Please reference William Cleveland when responding. Thanks again. -- Randall McCoach, Albuquerque, N.M.,

RE: James Brewer
I have always wondered about the symbol on this grave. I looked this up:

In regular Craft Masonry, the symbol of the set square and compass, bearing the letter G inside is substituted for the Triple Tau worn on the Masonic apron. According to Masonic lore, the letter G stands for the name of their god, and also at the same time it represents geometry. The use of Sacred Geometry is a fundamental part of the mythos of Freemasonry.

Robert E. Halstead
Is there any chance you might have a photo of him? He was crushed between two trucks in Germany, I believe it was. I worked at the cemetery office here in town when I ran across his file and was so hurt there wasn't a headstone for him but I got one ordered and put up. There was even a dedication for him on Memorial Day a few years back.

Thank you,

I am part of the Warta family that live in the mid-West. Any photos and info you have would be wonderful. As soon as I mentioned Woodside to my father, he immediately said "Lefty".

Robert Winter Dawson County, NE
I found the spouse of Robert Winter in St. Ann's Cemetery Lexington, NE. You might want to remove the photo from the what turns out to be Roger Winter and add to the Robert Winter listed in St. Ann's Cemetery. Also your note.

Lorens "Lefty" Woodside
I am thrilled to hear from anyone connected with the 35th-110th Quartermaster Company. My dad, Truman Benjamin "Ben" Howard served with the 35th during WWII & my sister & I drove him to one of the last reunions in Nebraska in 2005. I didn't know Lorens name WAS Lorens. He was always "Lefty" to my dad. He & Vi used to exchange Christmas cards with my mom & dad & they sent pictures of their family to us. Since Dad passed we have boxes of stuff to sort & I know there are pictures in there of Lefty & Vi & family. I would be glad to communicate with any of the Woodside kids & anyone connected with the 35th.
