I was told years ago that they were buried on their old homestead. Do you have any proof that they are in this cemetery?
Thanks.

Cummings memorials
Jilly,
Thanks for the Cummings photo and information. You're right about the duplication on Theresa Cummings. I have deleted the memorial - #90040726, the one with out the family attachments.

My source was the following from the Philadelphia Archdiocesan Cemetery records:
Lot 19 Sec 44 05/31/1013 closed 10/01/69
Mark Cummings 5/31/13
Robert Cummings 2/19/25
Cummings baby 6/9/31
Cummings baby 6/13/31
Theresa Cummings 10/04/31
Vincent Cummings 09/18/38
Kathryn Cummings 12/26/63
Mary Agnes Cummings 02/07/68
T. Marguerite Cummings 06/26/68
Aloysius Cummings 03/31/69
Note - these are burial dates.

At the time I entered these records in findagrave, I did not know the dares for Katherine (several different spellings), nor was I sure of the relationships. With Robert, I thought he was son of Katherine and Vincent, but their granddaughter told me her mother was an only child, so more checking to do.I would like to manage these 2 memorials - Katherine (#130474948) and Robert (#130474875) so I can update the information.

Note also that there are 2 infants in the plot, probably twins. These may be Robert's siblings, but are not on the stone. I have found nothing additional on them yet.

Thanks again. Sorry for the delay. We've had along Springs with 9 graduations to attends - two of them out of town (we didn't make them all), plus the usual Spring family activities, funerals and doctor visits.

Herrity
Jilly. In my cemetery book. Michael Herrity also died in a mine accident in Apr. 1885. He was buried May 6 when his body was recovered. Five men were killed in that accident. I was surprised to read that Patrick was in a mine accident also. What a shame for that family!

Anna Herrity Coll
Jilly,
Thanks so much for the photo of my great Aunt's cemetery marker in Old St. Joseph's cemetery in Girardville. I had been up there a couple of times over the years but never did find some family markers which my Mom said had been there. You were right, Anna Herrity was the daughter of Michael Herrity and she married Hugh Coll. She died in childbirth in 1905. She was the sister of Patrick Herrity whose marker you also took a photo of - he died in 1904 in a mining accident. Thanks so much.

Mary Scanlon
Jilly, In an attempt to delete duplicates of Mary Scanlon ,Date of Death 11/30/1884, I mistakenly deleted your posting of Mary Scanlon,11/28/1885. Both are buried in St. Joseph's cemetey. I did e-mail Find a grave * explain it but have not heard from them yet. I am so sorry . I hope you can repost the memorial. Peggy Scully

RE: John and Patrick O'Donnell
Hi Jilly,

I have connected Patrick and John, Jr. to John O'Donnell, Sr.

Another Find A Grave member added a photo of Patrick's gravestone. Have you found a death record for John, Sr. wife?

Regards and Merry Christmas.

Don

Newtown Square Friends Meeting
Hi Jilly,

I was over at the Newtown Square Friends Meeting this morning. Had my camera so I took a few grave photos - I want to do some work on the graves there this summer. Anyway, came back to put the photos up on findagrave - and found that you had already put up most of the ones I had! So, I wanted to reach out to you, and see what your interest is in Newtown Square. Are you local? I attend the Friends Meeting, and have been working on trying to keep the doors open and the place tended to. Let me know your connection. I have more of the old records form the Meeting - and had wanted to consolidate and post up what we have for cemetery records. I was wondering where you got your information, and whether I could have a copy of whatever it is you have. You can reach me at doughumes@psualum.com.

thanks!

Patrick Grady
Hi Jilly,

Well, I did receive the obituaries for Patrick Grady. Unfortunately, they did not provide any additional information on him. I did find out that he was living on Rappahannock Road in Girardville. The obits did not provide a house address on the road or any information on the funeral or burial.

Regards,

Don

RE: John O'Donnell - Annie Grady
Hi Jilly,

Thank you for the link to the article. I did an advance search on the The Chronicling America site. I did find two notices on Patrick's death and funeral. Not a lot of information but it did say he died on lung disease. He had been a miner and was the supervisor of Butler township when he died. But I did find references, I believe, to his parents and a brother. This will require additional research to confirm.

Regards,

Don

RE: O'Donnell-Grady
Hi Jilly,

I have ordered the marriage certificate but have not received it yet. I am sorry to hear that there are no parents names on the certificate. We seem to be running up against that wall frequently.

I just placed a request online for a copy of Patrick Grady's obituary. It must be my Patrick as the timelines are correct. I will keep you posted.

Regards,

Don

Patrick O'Donnell
Hi Jilly,

I forgot to include the F-a-G memorial I created for him: Find A Grave Memorial# 85027254.

Do you have a dob for him? The cemetery records did not include one.

Don

Patrick O'Donnell
Hi Jilly,

I called Catholic Cemeteries in Omaha today. They confirmed that Patrick O'Donnell is buried in the same plot along with his brother John and several nieces and nephews.

In the same O'Donnell plot, is a 10 month old buried with the family: her name is Julia Ruth Rogers. Do you know who she could be? I have no idea.

Regards,

Don
