RE: Martha Caroline Thompson Lockler
Mary Elizabeth:
Federal Census: 1880- Burleson Co., TX. With parents.
Note: Reported to have died a few weeks after the birth of Fletcher Brisbon. She died in either Milam or Bell County, TX.
Both of Martha's two children, George L. and William H. Thompson were with Martha in 1850. No husband for Martha was present. The fact the two boys took the Thompson name may have been for several reasons. Martha may have married a Thompson or both children may have been born out of wedlock and took Martha's father's name. Martha's mother was around 60 years of age in 1850 so I doubt if she could have been the mother of the two boys.
In 1860 William and George were still with Martha in the Robert Lockler home.
I have George as George Lee Thompson.

Thad Dunn, Richland
My error, the originator of the memorial, Harold Womble, has the power to add corrections so I just sent the location to him.
Also made a note in the corrections section.

RE: Thad Dunn, Richland Cem.
Well, attempting to do the "edit" may be a pipe dream. I went over there yesterday in an attempt to keep the genealogy train rolling but it was a failure as I was unable to locate the marker. Since he is the only "Dunn" listed on the survey, I didn't have another family member to compare with.
I checked Section 3, Row 11, Side B, not luck. I even went 2 rows on either side in case the count was off, still nothing.
If he is buried there, his location may be lost to "Mother Nature & Father Time"
If U come up with any relevant info let me know and I'll check it out.

Thad Dunn, Richland Cem.
I have an "unauthorized" survey for the cemetery done by competent people but not authorized by the cemetery association.
I have been using it for years and it has proven accurate each time.
In it, the location for him is Section 3, Row 11, Side B. If U will add that to the entry, maybe someone closer will take care of the request.
If not, the next time I am out that way, I'll swing by and do it.

It is possible that if the edit for parent relationship is submitted via the automatic edit tab, if I did not review it within a certain period of time, the system forces through the edit whether it is correct or not. I have updated the memorial.

George W. Brisbon (bin)
There was a George Washington Brisbin born 1859 to Wesley and Louisa Brisbin (Brisbon). His son, Henry Lafayette Brisbin and wife, Vennie Elliott, had a son named George Washington Brisbin, born in 1902, in Milam County. He and his wife Lucille Rentz had a baby named George Washington Brisbin born in December, 1928. He died within the month.
If you are interested in all 7 Dawson children, maybe one of them was your gr greatuncle. Find a grave started acting up the last time I started a note to you with a note about the William Brisbin's in the family.

There were three William Brisbins. William David Brisbin was the son of William Wesley Brisbin.
He was the son of William Brisbin born about 1776. Wm. David married Annie Safroni. She was l9 on the l880 census and it states that she was born in Alabama He was born about 1858 in Washington County, Texas. We have a lot of info on the William's, but not a lot on Wm. David. His mother was Louisa Whetstone. As I remember, his mother was from Alabama also. Let me know if you have all of this. I have the guardianship court material when her father took over after Wesley and Louisa died.

Alice M. Brisbon Elliott
I am a cousin of Bill Roberts. We are both descendents of the Elliott line but there was so many marriages between the Elliott's and the Brisbin's that we feel that we are all related. Email me and we can compare notes. I live out of Winchell, Brown County, Texas so I think we are in the same area.
Let me hear from you. Sharon Reynolds Crowder

RE: Alice M. Brisbon Elliott
I have a cousin named Sharon who is pretty familiar with the Brisbin's and has this photo. She is pretty sure she knows who each of the girls are but she is out of town for a few weeks. When she gets back home she will look at the photo and if she has the names in order as to each one she will let me know. If we are going to continue this correspondence please use my email address. It's on my profile.

Sorry, I am related to the Elliott's. I've seen the photo and wish whoever JD is would ask NIL who the real Alice is.

RE: McCracken
I wish my husband's parents were still here for me to ask. My husband's grandparents were from Taylor county and buried there and his parents lived there for a long time, with my husband being born in Abilene. His dad had 12 brothers and sisters. I wonder if there would be any way you might scan some of the photos and email them to me? I also did fine this which has the names you were talking about. I tried to insert it here, but it won't let me so I will type it in.
Texie Pearl Townsend (McCrackin) bn. circa 1888 in Texas, died 1973 in Victoria, Victoria County, Tx. Daughter of Samuel Leomidan McCrackin and Elizabeth Ann McCrackin. Wife of Brady Cleveland Townsend and mother of Joe Lynn Townsend; Allie Ella Jane Townsend; Arnie M. Townsend; Cecil Townsend and Earl Townsend. Sister of Georgia Tula McCrackin; Gertrude Wretta McCrackin; Rubie McCrackin; Anna L. McCrackin; Dana Elizabeth McCrackin and 1 other. I don't know if this might help you or not. I wish I recognized some of the names.

Hi, Thomas Waters Calk was a second cousin of mine. I have researched the Calk family for years and have been told by many people that I have the most complete set of records and family relations and descendants of anyone else in the U. S. I have family information and pictures of the ancestors of Thomas Waters back to our common ancestor Elijah Calk, born 1770. i take the Calk line back to when the first Calk (Thomas Calk) arrived back in 1648 in VA.

My name is Wayne Calk #47922797. This is a 2nd cousin of mine. I have the same pictures you posted. I have a copy of the family bible and a lot of other pictures and info on her family. I have looked for her death and other info for years. I know that she divorced Edward before 1930 as the census shows that. She had a daughter named Blanche born about 1910 but I've never found any further info on her. I learned about her death and place from your info. She had a total of 15 siblings. I'll manage her site if you don't want too.

Would it be possible to use your photo of Anna Mae in my private family tree? She is a distant relative of my husband. (3rd cousin, 3 times removed.) However, I would love to have a photo of her in my tree!

I am happy to give you photo credit if you would like.
