I am forwarding information to you regarding William. You offered a transfer and I would be honored to manage him. If, however, a closer family member comes along and has an interest in managing this memorial you have created, I would most likely transfer to them. William is pretty far removed from me.

I thank you for the work you have done on not only William's memorial but all you have had a hand in bring to their memory this honor.

Thank you AKC.

Edna Mattie Hale
This stone was a little hard to find and was made more difficult by the date change on the stone. It appears it was originally 1916 but then changed to 1960. Cemetery records still has it down as 1916. Also name shows Mattie L Hale, not Edna. So now I pass the torch on to you my friend to solve the mystery. Let me know what to discover.

RE: Your find-a-grave #112453801 Cicley
In reference to Cintha Cicley (Calk) Fomby. I have a picture of Cicley in a family group of her parents and siblings taken about 1907. She was named in her father's Will. I have her on the 1930 census on both the Ward 5, Union Parish. LA census and on the Brownwood, Brown, TX census. If it's information about Cicley, her parents, siblings and her ancestors (especially) on the Calk line, I have that info. Ask and you shall receive. I would like to request that you share what you might have on her and her descendants. I know that she had at least one daughter by Edward but no futher info on her descendants.

RE: Your find-a-grave #112453801 Cicley
I'm not sure this was a request to me or not because I could not find my name on the request and was not sure it was directed to me or not. Cintha Cicley was married to Edward Cornett Fomby. My father was Marshall Howard Calk and I descend from the Calk who was in TX by 1862. His brother was in TX before 1848 and I have a picture of that man.

RE: Pete Acosta
It turns out that my hairdresser rents a booth from one of the Stokes girls in Abilene. Pete Acosta is a baby from the Stokes family. Small world.

RE: Your find-a-grave #112453801 Cicley
I have more information on the Calk's and their descendants than anyone else in America. I have pictures of your husband's grandfather, their children and so on. I knew most if not all of his children and grew up with a couple of them. As a kid my parents would drive from Houston to Rosenburg to visit relatives every couple of months.

I found a grave marker on this baby. I would be happy to take over his memorial if you would like to transfer him to me. I will continue the search.

The first photo was a rainy day, but you can see a shadow on the front. Today when I went back to see if I could do the foil thing, it was bright and clear.

Check out the memorial now. What an amazing difference a bit of lighting change can do! You are going to love it.

I will try to do that. I'm sure it can't be done on a windy day like today. I will let you know. There were some other headstones in that same area that were not legible at all. I will try to get all of them done if I can figure out how. I love a new adventure!

RE: Minnie Adams Jones
My grandmother, Minnie Adams, married Clay Jones after my grandfather passed. She had three children by her first husband. They were Lowell, Preston and a boy who died very young. I have his name somewhere, but can not think of it right now.

Sincerely
Barbara

I somehow missed the Ida Adams grave. It was raining pretty hard and I was rushing. I will go back out tomorrow to try again. I thought I photographed all the Adam headstones in that section while I was there.

RE: Calvin Paul Adams
I am aware of the website for the Abilene Cemetery and was also aware they have quite a few names missing on their list. I figured this out by photographing the headstones, then checking online to find the exact location to add the names to FindAGrave.com. That is when I realize their list is shy quite a few graves. I was not aware that they wanted our help updating their list. I will start doing that. Thank you for the heads up.

I am here for you anytime you need a photo taken and will watch for your requests.

RE: W.Adair in Abilene
I do live in Abilene and have kind of made it my personal mission to get all of the Abilene Cemetery photos that I can and to also make sure they are on FindAGrave.com if they are not already listed.

Every time I get a photo request, I also photo every headstone in that area and check to make sure the photos have been added. If not, I take care of it.

I would be very happy to take over any memorials that you would like to transfer to me.

By all means, you enter Ada Ferry Morris, Watson memorial with request of photo. Your family, not mine. If someone else doesn't find her for you. I'll try to look next time I'm in the area. Don't forget to mention possible Morris burial near by. Good luck.
