RE: Loudermilk family
Thanks for your reply---but I can't remember what I was asking. Malinda's older daughter Nancy is mygreat grandmother as she married William J. Banks and there son John Walter was my grandfather. So we are related. I have done a lot of research on the Loudermilks, Banks, and Foust families. We need to talk--

It looks like you have done a great job documenting Frances. Assume any question in the past has been resolved.

Thank you so much for the added information about her husband James Aaron Perry Smith. I never would have looked for him in Rockwood, Tennessee, even knowing that their son Samuel Henry Smith went to Rockwood, married Julia Murray and started a family there. I found the memorial for James P. Smith, and linked him to his wife and parents. Now he isn't alone in Tennessee. He was the son of Nimrod Tillman Smith and Martha Majors Smith in Pendleton, Anderson South Carolina! Good job!

Received your find a grave "suggestion".

I corrected my mistake about "Frances" being a son. Had it right in my Family Tree Maker program, but typed incorrectly on find a grave.

I thank you very much for the additional information for Frances. I have not done much work on this part of my extended Cornelius family - so I cannot provide further info other than census info.

I'm sure you probably have the census info, but I will provide just in case:

1870 Blount Co., AL Census, pg 345B: Harvy Wade, 31, AL; Edie, 28, GA; Frances, 7, AL; W., 5, AL; Clinton, 1, AL.

1880 Blount: James P. Smith, 30, AL; Frances J., 17, AL; Frances E., 2, AL; Martha J.C., 5/12, AL

1900 Blount Co., AL, ED 18, Sh 7B: James P. Smith, Mar 1850, 50, SC; Frances J., Oct 1862, 37, AL; Martha J., Dec 1879, 20, AL; Odela, Mar 1884, 15, AL; Clinton, Apr 1887, 13, AL; Alice, May 1889, 11, AL; Bennie, Nov 1891, 8, AL; Joseph, Oct 1893, 6, AL; Ida, Dec 1898, 1, AL; Betsey Baggett, Sep 1887, 18, AL

I do not know where Solomon is buried either. He is buried somewhere in Gilmer Co Ga.If you will look in the 1880 census in Rhea Co Tn for William J Banks you will find Malinda Loudermilk living in their household.I have alot on the Foust family I have been to Rhea Co several times and Roane Co Tn. Solomon and Malinda had 4 sons in the Civil War. Three died and one lived.
