RE: Helen Lagasse
I linked Helen to her Mother and Father...
I remember both Helen & Harvey Ray... they were my Mom & Dad's very good friends... My Mom was the one that told me how she and Dad started dating. Dad was at Harvey Ray & Helen's house and saw Mom walking down the street and he told Helen he wanted to meet her.
They were married within the year...

It was a pleasant surprise to run across Helen & Harvey Ray's grave site when I was visiting my Mom and Dad's graves. I plan to go back to Forest HIll South and take more pictures. I have a lot of family members buried there.
Take care,

RE: McMullen Family
Mary that is great news. Yes, My email address is: I am so happy that you can help me. If there isn't a memorial for these people "McMullen" then I will be more than happy to make them up, just let me know alright? I have been doing genealogy for a very long time but when I found this site I was totally elated because I use to have to go around to find our loved ones. People back in the early 80's thought I was nuts taking pictures of headstones! But it acts as a legal document now if you don't have anything else to go on. Some of the names are: Cullen b. 1794, his first wife Abigail b. 1793. Some of their children as well should be just like William is there. They lived in Charleston or around that area for years and I would venture to say maybe some still do. I have been trying very hard to put this together for a friend who has grandchildren asking questions about their heritage now. And our western schools have always asked about family trees in the past and still continue to do so now. So it wouldn't surprise me if his grandchildren on working on this type of a project now. But even if they aren't they still want to know and with Ray McMullen's permission I have started his line for him off of what he put up on But pictures are not going to be put up there from me. I don't have access to his tree as far as an editor goes. But I need to have what he has so I can copy his work into an FTM so it can be downloaded to a disc for him and his family so it will be put into a three ringed binder for his grandchildren to view as time gets close for those kids to be able to do their trees.
Again many thanks for your help!

McMullen Family
Since you know this cemetery and have been there is William there also? I would have thought that maybe they would be beside each other. I know that there has to be other McMullen's in that cemetery, would it be a possibility if I gave you my email address for you to make contact with the cemetery to see if any of the names that I have that might be buried there are on their list there? We can not find Cullen McMullen and know that he was a plantation owner, his wife Abigail Whitehead/McMullen was his first wife but he also had a concubine by the name of Harriet who had children by him in Louisiana. So he traveled back and forth. I would greatly appreciate this as I live over 2,000 miles from where this is taking place at and needless to say I don't even know where this cemetery is at. Looks like a very quiet and peaceful place to rest though.
Thanks a million and one times over.

Great photo. The marker is an unusual shape. Was there anything on the rear?

Thank you for finding my family's graves and taking the photos of their markers. I live in Jackson and was not sure when I could get up there and do it. I want to make a trip soon to pay homage to my ancestors. Thank you once again!

Thank you so very much for taking the picture of the grave of Crate Wilson in Magnolia Cemetery. Your photograph is excellent and is such a nice addition to his memorial page.

You are a very special person to take your time and make the effort to photograph graves for those who are not able to visit the cemeteries themselves. I appreciate you!

Thanks so much for the tombstone pictures. I hope you didn't go too far for these, Find A Grave has me listed within 7 miles of a particular graveyard, however, I am actually almost 20. That's okay because I go by there frequently and I know how important it is to descendents.
Thanks again,

You have made my day! I see where his wife was buried with him. I added her memorial and have asked for a photo. So if you will add the same grave marker photo that will be so very much appreciated. Your contribution will be enjoyed for future generations. Thank you!
