Anna was buried with a number of other Norwoods, I am going through Find A Grave and MVR now to see if they have memorials/photos.

You are very welcome Melanie, it is very sad that so many don't have markers, or are missing markers. Let me know if I can help further. Take care, Don E.

Hi again Melanie, I sent email to you a few days ago and I am wondering if you got them. Also, I found a Porter child in Oak Grove and thought you might be able to figure out if they belonged to one of your Porters.
Thanks for your time!

Hi Melanie, I have linked 2 children to the memorials of your GG Grandparents Benjamin and Elvira Nash.
In the process of trying to determine who the 2 children belonged to, I came across your beautiful family tree on Ancestry.com. What a great job you have done!
I see that there were 10 children born to Benjamin and Elvira, and you had located 7 of them, so now there is only one unaccounted.
The children are buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, near their Uncle John Nash according to the cemetery listing I am using.
There may be more info on the markers, I will get out to the cemetery and take a look and add photos to the memorials.
All the best,
PS The Illinois Marriage Index gives April 16, 1862 as their marriage date in Mason Co.

Melanie, connected Charles Walters to his parents. I'm distantly related to his wife. Would you like for me to transfer him to you?

You would think those would be corrected but I have seen many stones inscribed incorrectly. I have transferred your husband's grandparents & great grandparents.

Please send requests thru the Edit command. Only those who are direct descendants to 4 generations are required to be transferred so I will be glad to transfer Emmitt & his wife if you will send the request thru the edit command. Their children are not considered direct descendants. I will be glad to add any info you want and you may always add any pictures you would like to add to these memorials.

Thank you very much for taking the time to look for the grave markers of George and Lou. I'm sorry to hear that they don't have headstones but at leased I know.

I see that you have "sponsored" Vicki's memorial. That's wonderful.
I only put the information on findagrave because I wanted her life to be recognized. Would you like me transfer the memorial to your account?

Brought the difference in spelling to the attention of the person who has the memorial online. Which is correct spelling?

|Gail P.||RE: John Porter connection|
Thanks for the suggestions. I made the changes. Mary (Ward) Porter is my husbands 2nd great grandmother. Since you maintain her memorial, could you add her maiden name "Ward". The only other pictures I have are mostly on the descendants of Charles Henry Porter.
I have done a little genealogy on the Nash line, but have a lot of information to fill in. How do you connect to the Nash line?
We have been to Burke Cemetery, but that was long before I started contributing to Find A Grave or even knew about it.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

|AnnBerry||Mary Porter, Burke Cemetery, Merrick County, NE|
Thank you so much for sponsoring the memorial for Mary Porter. I'm so glad she's remembered and has been found by her family.
I've transferred her memorial into your care.
One of my Kentucky family names is "Porter", so I took special notice of Mary's stone and always pull away weeds when visiting.
Burke Cemetery is located on a country road a few miles outside of Central City, NE.
