Please ask again next year. A friend and I have collected data for an article that will be placed in the hotel fire section of the records of the Missouri Historical Society. We choose a topic from time to time - Find A Grave is a help. What can you tell me about Miss Susanka? Was she living in the hotel? Many victims were. It was a terrible thing - many were locked in a stairwell. Others jumped because it was locked.

RE: duplicate chillicothe city cemetery photos
Clayton,
It's unfortunate but I keep seeing more & more of these sideways photo's being used, & since Vicki submitted the photo only she can remove it but since she has refused to remove the photo you could send an email to find a grave & have them take the photo off.
Good luck,
Dan R.

I hope you saw the family as well. Most died before this cemetery began, so they must have been moved there

RE: William Viehmeyer
I'm going to do that! I'm so excited to have found this obituary. My Mother is a Roloff - I contacted a Viehmeyer who had married a Roloff - he was a professor who lived in Youngstown, OH - his name was Larry Allen Viehmeyer - if you look him up on the Internet, you can see what all he's done, but his wife Susan Jane Bersch who was Dorothea Charlotte Roloff's granddaughter had died on Nov. 13, 1991 and I tried to contact her in 1992 or something - so frustrating! He didn't know her family. Anyway, I'll put the picture up.

April 27th at Calvary
Our spring graver get together is coming and we are taking on Calvary this time. Working on the over 1000 requests and the needing help with the problem sections of 5 and 16. We start at 9 am and are way in the back of the cemetery. We need people to walk the single grave areas and looking for requests. Could use your help if you have time. We rarely go over a couple hours.

Ok, There are still 3 sections that I will check then on my next trip. The 3 sections are "A", "B" & "D". All 3 sections combine to make up the older part of the cemetery.

Harvey Entz
Clayton,
Walked "C" section today looking for Harvey's cemstone with no luck. I did find Nora's though & there is an open spot next to hers so I took a photo of his lot. Let me know if you want me to put it on.

Would you like me to transfer this memorial-Harry Viehmeyer #95919655 to you? I am not a relative. I am transcribing the cemetery where he is interred.

Robert Griswold marker
Hello Clayton,
I was in the chillicothe cemetery this morning and noticed a new cemstone for Robert. The stone is already in its concrete base but hasn't been placed in the ground yet. I did take a pic of it but wanted to know if you wanted me to wait until its in the ground before I add it to his memorial page?
pls advise,
Dan

RE: Elsie and Olen Day
We are almost 100 miles away, but request a photo, and if we get down there again I will grab it. We went down there as it appears no one has been covering it, so we hit Putnam County.
