|DWalt & Patti||Lydia Lamson|
I just fulfilled your photo request. I took this photo back in 2010 on a trip through Searsport. I can tell that you have the general location correct, it was on the left at the entrance of the cemetery. The photo before Lydia's in my album is a Sarah Merithew and the one after her is William Young.

I posted a picture of the baby Alton Sloan stone in Robinson Cemetery. I also added memorials for the other Sloan stones I found and posted pictures.
The stones were very worn but I hope the pictures help!

|Dennis Cutter||RE: Walter Collins|
Hi Helen. I have a tree that has Walter in it, He had married my grandmother Maude Helen Court and they were divorced within 3 years. They had one child by this marriage, Frank C Collins, my half uncle. Frank had 2 children. Maude had had an earlier child but he never produced any children. She went on to merry my grandfather Benjamin Clifford Cutter and they had 3 children. I'm not sure if there was any contact between Frank or Maud with Walter or not. I found Walters death announcement where I picked up a lot of info plus there was a tree that let me fill in many of Walters ancestors. Walter himself is not related to me.

Info on the Oldham's Family:
Joseph R. Oldham was born July 8, 1838 in Worthley Pond, Peru, Maine. He was the son of Sidney & Joanna (Russell) Oldham. He married Sarah Thomas (Stevens) Oldham, the dau. of Markwell Stevens, in Livermore (or Livermore Falls?) on Aug. 5, 1860. (She was born in about 1842.) They had three children, from what I could find: Roscoe, Angie, and Perry S. Oldham.
That's all I got. :)

I believe the (fallen) headstones I posted are the correct ones based on the proximity to their daughter Charity Lewella (and son Willie W.?).

Are you on Ancestry.com? I have info for you but when I wrote to you on this site, I was only given the option of a public message. Perhaps I don't understand how this works.

Yes, Helen, I am a descendant. This looks like it is showing up on public messages. It does not seem to show your full e-mail address. You can write to me as Callmekitkatkate on Ancestry. We probably have info we can share.

Has anyone found the stones for John and Dorcus? Could they have been buried on a family plot on their farm?
Added by KITKATKATE on Sep 16, 2012 8:12 AM
Sure, Helen. How do we exchange private messages in order to connect? Linda
Added by Twincol on Sep 01, 2012 10:35 AM
Helen, did I reply to your query of May 5, 2012? You suggested that Albert was your GrGrandmother's brother. James Cleveland was married twice and I am descended from the offspring of his second wife, Marguerite Clifford.
Please email me, if you would like to follow-up on this, and we can noodle around with some detail.

I am interested where you found the name Howard for John H. Bartlett. He is my great-great grandfather, His son Dana also had the initial H. I am wondering if it is a family surname? I have not seen this before.
Your e-mail address seems truncated so could not write using it,
Are you a relative?

No sign of a wrought iron fence. There was a family plot off to the left that meets the description, with the fence. I went over to take a look at it, but don't recall the family name.
As far as the # of names on the stones, are you able to enlarge the photos I posted by double left clicking on each? Once they are enlarged, at the bottom of each picture I've transcribed what is on the stone. The only one I didn't get done last night was a child, John C. Dearborn. It was on the left side of the Dearborn stone, and w/ no memorial established, I left it for another night.

Thanks for the tip on location & design. Depending on the cemetery size, that could be a great time saver!

Our plans were to go there yesterday, but we ran out of time. I don't like to claim photo requests, as I did that once and wasn't able to locate the stone on the 1st trip. Next week is my vacation & I will be making another trip in that direction. Maple Grove will be the 1st cemetery we search.
