RE: Winona & John
Thank you very much for the pictures! How did you manage to find a photo of Winona?

St. John Vianney Catholic Church Kailua, HI services flyer photo.

RE: Peter Davison Obit
Hi again - I found Peter Davison's obituary here:

It's the Google Historical Newspaper website. If you haven't explored this, you should! Newspapers from Peter's time are so old they have no copyright so you can freely post obits, etc. online.
Hope this helps :)

RE: Betty Lou Akana

Yes there is another name on the gravestone. I did take a picture of both and you can see it under the other individuals name. I cannot think what the name was though at this time. If you have an idea you can search the cemetery website or search at find-a-grave. I have to go out there again so I will make a note of it.

RE: Thank you
Yes, I revisited the Pereira family plot today and examined the marker again. I'm sorry I wasn't more careful yesterday. I just added another photo to your memorial. There are two names on the West side of the monument: Amelia Pereira and Manuel Pereira. There are no inscriptions on either the North or South sides. The photo of the East facing side was added yesterday.

Mary Anne
RE: Wm & Mary McFarland
Hi Mark,

Mary's picture is now posted--I think the website was having some issues accepting my picture.

As far as I can see, the writing on William's stone is only what I typed on the picture caption (seen by clicking on the picture). I think the line you are having trouble with says only the word "DIED" in fairly large letters.

Mary's stone was only partially readable, but I did include the cemetery register information on her.

I have higher resolution photos than what F.A.G. will allow us to post, but I don't think they help at all. I'd be happy to send them on if you want to try enhancing them.

I will be posting photos of William and Mary McFarland's stones shortly, but I ran out of time and did not get to Daniel and Rebecca. You may wish to put in a separate photo request for them.

Marnie Weeks
Ledwards in Honolulu
Aloha, Mark. I found the Ledwards today and have uploaded the images. In addition, their son Edward Edmund and his wife Louisa are nearby, so I made memorials for them and transferred them to you. Now you can add bios and complete the family relationship links, marriage dates, etc. I see your family tree is on, and there is a lot of info on this family in their databases. Thanks for letting me be a part of your research effort in Hawaii. If you want me to find anything else, or look something up, just ask. By the way, Kalihi is actually a neighborhood in Honolulu, not a separate city as the cemetery listing indicates. -Marnie
